I’ve Been Carving Pumpkins For Over 10 Years, Here Are My 23 Favorite Monster Pumpkins
Hi! My name is Christian. I live over here in the UK and I like to carve pumpkins—and by pumpkins, I mean giant pumpkins.
I first started carving pumpkins around 10 years ago, but it was only when I saw the amazing 3D face carvings emerging out of America that I was inspired to up my game entirely.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to work on some huge pumpkins—including (at the time) the unofficial world record for the 'largest jack-o'-lantern carved,' weighing in at 913 kg (2013 lbs). That took me 1 and a half days to carve, whilst my Predator carving—around half the size of the almost 1-tonner—took me 2 and a half days to complete due to the intense levels of detail required, plus also working at THAT size!
I have also carved for TV, radio, and the odd celebrity here and there and it has been an amazing journey for me so far.
We carvers tend to get overlooked here in the UK, but I can assure you that we do have a wonderful collection of seasoned and highly skilled fruit artists just waiting in the autumnal wings to carve something wonderful for you!
