It really is so important. Sadly, there are still a lot of people out there who mock this sort of thing, and it makes me so sad. We're all human beings, we all deserve the same right to express our feelings without fear.

Yes, I especially thought that with the T-Rex fantasy. I would have enjoyed hearing that, while I can imagine that If you have a bad day you can easily believe that it's a negative comment on you. I thought it really sad.

For years, I've wanted a flight attendant to come out and ask the passengers if anyone can land a plane. I would be there so fast!

I think you're right. My husband and I talk about this and he's expressed that same belief. (I believe all of these are accurate and he and I have discussed them at one point or another).

But isn't that an expectation that's put on you from the outside (along with the provider bit and the strong men don't cry bit) ? The way you write it, it feels like a need to be seen in a certain way. (Or I might be misunderstanding, no offence meant in any case)

I agree.I am an independent woman blah Di blah, but when a guy takes care of me, swooping me out if the way of the spray of a car or something, I get all gush and cuddly. We should get over this fear of communication and condemnation. I like having a hero. I get that I'm not metropolis, but that only makes it extra special.

And there are those of us who are more than happy to play the villain. Although we never get the girl, and usually end up dying.
