Proshka’s owner, Stefani Doherty, told us some more details about the dog.

“We’ve had Proshka ever since he was a pup. He is now 2. Despite his appearance as grumpy, he is a very comical, loving dog.

The first time he was called Chewbacca was when I took him for his vaccinations and a young man said ‘hey, it’s baby Chewbacca.’ It’s like that all the time now, we get stopped all the time on walks, people want to know what breed of dog he is and liken him to Chewbacca, Gremlin or the Grinch.

However, don’t let his grumpy expression distract you, Proshka is, in fact, a very happy dog

It seems that Proshka is also not the biggest fan of bath time

But wearing costumes, on the other hand, is something he very much enjoys

And though he might look sleepy sometimes

He’s actually quite an active little guy (most of the time) who’s very loved by his family

Hey there, Pandas! My name is Diana (though some prefer to refer to me as Diane, Deanna, and even Liana sometimes), and I am a Community Post Moderator Lead for Bored Panda. Other than that, outside of work, you can find me brewing a nice cup of coffee, making a pizza from scratch, or baking brownies. I also love traveling, concerts, and cats (heavy on that, because I am a cat mom).

Just plain ugly and deformed. In brachycephalic, short faced dogs with that appearance, the small skulls crowd the brain and result in herniation of the cerebellum and brain stem through the foramen magnum. Bad breeding. Adopt a shelter mixed breed if you want a healthy pupper.

I am sure he is a very sweet dog, but I just CANNOT understand why people breed dogs like that. I am sure he has a myriad of health problems, including problems breathing. It is just cruel.
