The IT Crowd.
Hello, IT. Yeah-ha. Have you tried forcing an unexpected reboot? See. the driver hooks the function by patching the system call table, so it's not safe to unload it unless another thread's about to jump in and do its stuff, and you don't want to end up in the middle of invalid memory... Hello?
Firefly. Not hard when it’s only one season.
"Take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand, I don't care, I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me..." I'll be a Browncoat until I die!!
Browncoat forever! We've done the impossible and that makes us mighty.
Load More Replies...My absolute all time favorite show! Firefly is a wonderful, messy masterpiece, with everything in it done to perfection. The cast, story, setting...all of it came together to make a thing of beauty.
I legit met my husband ( 17th anniversary this year) on a firefly fans site. Without this show I wouldn't have a great husband and two wonderful kids and all my wonderful friends. Best show ever.
I'm still mad it's only one season and a movie... I want more... MORE!!!
The Queen’s Gambit.
I thought it would be boring af. To those of you who haven't seen it, DO! It's truly wonderful.
What exactly is it about? All I get from the premise is that a young woman is really good at chess but the men don't believe she is.
Load More Replies...I haven't seen this tv series but the book it's based on has been in my bookcase for more than 30 years. It's a good book and I read it several times. I'm really curious how well it was adapted.
Fantastic casting, writing, directing. You name it, they hit the nail on the head with this one.
It’s no secret that television is one of the most common entertainment forms nowadays. The reason behind it is that watching TV or other video content releases endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin, chemicals that are known to cause good feelings, in a person’s brain. So, basically, we’re wired to enjoy our screens — no wonder it’s a popular way for people to spend their time.
Due to this, television needs to catch up and provide enough content for everyone with different tastes. That leads to new TV shows or new seasons of already existing ones airing basically every day.
Band of Brothers.
The episode "Why We Fight" is one of the most heart wrenching hours of television I've ever watched.
I still can't watch when he has to take the bread back. And Dixon just annihilating the German woman by making her dig...probably one of the best shows ever made.
Load More Replies...This has joined Lord of the Rings for me. In the "I have to rewatch this from start to finish every X amount of time" category.
So glad this made the list! Truly one of the greatest shows ever made.
Breaking Bad.
So great. Got to love Bryan Cranston. I watch him in Seinfeld and it blows my mind.
I just wish its central message had hit home harder. Pay teachers real salaries and give us healthcare and it won't come to this.
He was offered a "job" in name only so he would have chemo treatments covered, but his ego couldn't handle that. Nothing to do with free healthcare
Load More Replies...It was nice until they made his wife the "crazy one" because she wanted him to stop being involved in d***s.
I think almost every episode involving his wife was worse than others.
Load More Replies...This show was really amusing if you don't have to deal with m*************e users in real life. YES! It was EXTREMELY well done. Superb acting. VERY realistic scenarios and characters. Great suspense. The sleep deprivation "fly" episode is a work of pure, highbrow art. However, I work with m**h heads, in a health care capacity; for me, Breaking Bad was not entertainment. While it was airing, it made me so sad to hear all my friends and family, who LOVED IT, talk about it like it was fiction. Honestly, it was TOO GOOD. M**h is a plague, I couldn't always watch objectively.
The Good Place.
I disagree. Really great acting and beautiful set work, but I feel like the story went on a season too long.
I love this show until season 2 premiered and it lost its charm and delight. Don't know what happened, but the arc of the show simply gave way and it jumped the shark.
Fully agree, it went downhill badly after season 1. Such a disappointment
Load More Replies...At first glance, I thought Jason was wearing white high heels with black stockings... And yes, this show was awesome start to finish.
The plot get strange well they all had their memories wiped. Wash rinse repeat.
I'm in the minority. I didn't like the last episode. I loved everything else.
Here, for example, this list includes every new release of 2025, and there are 23 titles whose names start with A alone. Probably every letter has at least one TV show that airs or continues this year, and with 26 letters in the alphabet, imagine how many of them are on this list. And we’re pretty sure these are just Western ones; it doesn’t include other series from various countries.
MASH.
Alda acted, wrote, and directed for the show from the beginning. All through the entire run, which is one of the longest running shows ever, every single episode is good. If that's not 10/10, nothing is.
Load More Replies...I'm probably not being fair to the show, which was consistently funny, but the older I got and the more I learned about North Korea, the less time I had for Hawkeye's "This war makes no sense" ideas.
Once they made Hoolihan more than Frank's stooge it was more watchable.
The Golden Girls.
I didn't get it when I was a kid. It just felt like a sitcom for really old people. I didn't know the ladies characters are in their 40s and 50s, which doesn't seem that old anymore. They were all made to look in their 60s, 70s and 80s. It's actually pretty funny show. My daughter enjoys it, too. Now that I'm old enough to understand the jokes.
For me, I was born in the 80's and it always reminded me of simpler, easier times with my grandparents and family.

Better Call Saul, even more so if you have watched BB before.
I got stuck on 6th season , episode 2. Haven't gotten back to it yet..
Since there are so many different shows airing, it’s impossible for all of them to be of a similarly good quality. So, from time to time, a show that might sound promising on paper fails to deliver good results. Sometimes they aren’t even that promising on paper, but still get released. And occasionally, even the TV shows that were great in the beginning fall short towards their end.
For the latter scenario, we could probably give a full list of TV shows that fell off despite being pretty nice (or even really great) at the start. Yet, we’re just going to give you a few examples.
How has no one mentioned mind hunter?
Yass! I read the book before the show came out and can confirm both 10/10.
Load More Replies...Chernobyl (although that started at 3.7 and ended at 15,000).
My wife lived her whole life in Russia until recently and she was very impressed with how realistic they got the feel of 80's Russia/Ukraine. And how the government was more concerned with saving their reputation, and that of the Communist system, than they were with saving lives.
Derry Girls.
Any time this topic is brought up, the sitcom How I Met Your Mother is always mentioned. It went on for 9 seasons and it was beloved by fans. Then, the final episode aired and it ruined everything the last season (and even the whole show) had been building within the last couple of minutes. Now, a decade has passed since this finale and people still haven’t recovered (and we don’t think they ever will).
Another similar disgrace that viewers can’t forgive is Game Of Thrones. The finale season and the finale itself of this TV show lacked the emotional weight fans loved, it skewed the paths characters had taken and it ended up ruining the great series’ legacy. 6 years have passed since then and people are still salty.
Avatar: The Last Airbender.
A masterclass in world-building and character development. Episodes were 22 minutes long, but they packed in so much in that short period of time.
I'm a boomer and at the recommendation of my daughter watched this. Really loved it!
Quick question... would this be ok for a 10 year old who is chill with very scary things, but very empathetic and upset when people get abandoned
Load More Replies...well except for that one episode where they're going through the canyon but we can just pretend that one didn't happen
Even the Ember Island Players said, "Nah."

True Detective (season 1).
Disagree. Seasons 2 and 4 were messy trash with excellent casts and performances, but no payoff. Season 3 was a good but not great copy of season 1. They just can’t recapture the magic.

6 Feet Under.
Amazing show. I could rewatch it 100 times and still be in awe of it.
So, instead of focusing on such failures, today we gathered a list of TV shows that people online deem to be 10/10 from the beginning to the end. It includes such great titles as The Good Place, a sitcom about philosophy; Fleabag, a drama/comedy based on a one-woman show; and plenty of others.
You can simply enjoy the list by upvoting, add your examples in the comments, or even take it as a perfect “to watch later” collection. We encourage all of these choices, after all – the list is full of greatness!
Ted Lasso.
...except that they announced a fourth season which makes no sense. Mistake I think
As soon as they gave the assistant coach an entire episode of his own (for no perceptible reason), I signed out. It seemed to be screaming "HEY! NETWORK! WE GOT SEQUELS!"
Schitt's Creek.
GIve it another try. The first several shows are meh. We stopped watching it and then went back to it and are glad that we did. It hits its stride a few shows in and is one of the best and funniest things ever. Trust me. GO back to it.

Orphan Black. For my money, it’s the greatest sci-fi show virtually nobody has seen.
Tatiana Maslany, in particular, is transcendent on that show, playing clone after clone, each with different personalities and accents; then she has to play some of them having to impersonate each other…and it’s all so spectacularly done that never does your suspension of disbelief get challenged. She IS every one of those characters.
Simply masterful.
This was an excellent show. To know how she kept from confusing her characters.
I kept recommending this to people like it was an air fryer! lol Maslany was incredible!
I hate that I'll never be able to watch it again for the first time.
I couldn't get into this. I felt that the actress didn't have a distinct enough appearance that when you see a clone you recognize it as her. It was just another lady with dark hair to me.
Fleabag.
Season 1 is incredible only to arguably be topped by season 2, which was unthinkable at the time.
I LOVED this. Also, Phoebe Waller-Bridges character never had a name.
Can´t believe I'm the first one mentioning The Wire!
I tried SO EFFING HARD to get into that show and I never even made it all the way thru episode 2.
If you enjoy constant swearing and vulgar dialogue, this show is for you. I could not get through one episode. Maybe because I grew up surrounded by vulgar people like that.
The haunting of hill house, it's peak.
OMG, yes! That scene where they didn't cut even once for maybe 10-20 minutes (with several people walking all over the place) was the peak. Entire thing was great, but that particular scene was phenomenal.
It was like a play in that respect. Perfect timing, staging etc. If you find that impressive like I do, check out "Adolescence" on NetFlix. It is a 4-episode miniseries, and each hour-long episode was filmed in one continuous take.
Load More Replies...This is a Halloween staple for us. The bent kneck lady had me sobbing the first time we watched it.
That jumpscare nearly made me pass out! The bent neck reveal was insane. So good.
Great show. I have watched it all the way through 3 times. It is, so far, Mike Flanagan's masterpiece.
For years I've seen a man off and on in my room at night. I've called him the hat man. I would be woken up by something bumping the end of my bed and then when I opened my eyes he would be there, in a dark corner, tall, with a hat and long coat. The man in this show is HIM. I almost died when I saw him! And then I looked him up and others have seen a "hat man" too!! Look it up. These sightings are all over the world. What could it be everyone? I'd love to know your thoughts.
Gravity Falls.
And I'm mad because he quit to do another project and then Disney never released it.

In the years it was on [The Americans] was one of the most tense, terrifying, and grounded shows on air. The performances, the art direction, the writing - all fantastic. An absolute triumph of vision from all of the creative team behind it.
A friend recommend this show to me. Really good show! I was approximately the age of the daughter in the show during that time period. The clothes, set decor, etc were spot on.
Sopranos.
I just watched this last year. It took me to about the third season to get into, and I'm glad I stuck it out.
Andor.
Needs to be higher. Even non-Star Wars fans appreciate its qualities. I came in expecting nothing much but it blew my socks off.
I will have to check it out. I have massive Star Wars fatigue. I was a MAJOR fan as a kid. The movies were so different and exciting. But now I find the whole thing mostly exhausting. But on the advice of BP posters, I will watch it.
Barry.
Bluey.
No it's ok. He promised it isn't ending. They're working on the movie now, but it'll be back for season 4. Don't panic

Cowboy bebop.
Justified.
I loved the relationship between Raylan Givens and Boyd Crowder, but the best character was Mags Bennett in Season Two. Margo Martindale definitely deserved the Emmy for that performance!
Banshee is my fav ever series, watched it 3 all 3 times since, anthony starr was fantastic in it
Oh, get over yourself. There are parts of the Midwest just like this, including Kentucky.

I bought my dad a detectorists tee shirt. I have never seen him happier. He wears it all the time
Dark.
This is the only show I've ever been so invested in we did homework before episodes - Highly recommend looking up the family trees and character notes online to keep track of the mind-boggling layers of complexity that show becomes. Absolutely, unbelievably brilliant
Succession.
I'm with you. Tried to get into it but couldn't.

Mr Inbetween.
Samurai Champloo. I’m not an anime fan particularly, but this one is spectacular. .
Bojack Horseman.
Venture Bros.
This show was so good and strange and funny at the same time. The world they built was so good with all the weird rules about what you could do as an arch nemesis. Favorite episode is the one with the yard sale.
No one mentioned Warrior. Based on a storyline by Bruce Lee. it is part Western, part 1800's period piece, part political drama, part Kung Fu.
Blackadder. And I don't care what anybody else thinks of the first series.
I only liked Red Dwarf up until Rob Grant left the writing team. I thought Rob Grant was a better writer than Dough Naylor. Which is very evident when you read the books. The first two books were written by both of them then the last two books were written separately the one by Rob Grant was definitely better.
Load More Replies...For me Stargate SG1 and Person of Interest are top and I could rewatch them over and over…..
My only problem with Person of Interest was that the main character spoke so quietly it was often a struggle to hear what he was saying unless I had the volume so loud that everything else was too loud. Aside from that, yes, an excellent programme.
Load More Replies...Deep Space 9. The last season could have been better but still a great ending.
You put 'Game of We put Coffee Cups all over the Last Season Thrones' in your poll? That has the *worst* final season of any show ever.
