No one knows the identity of one of the most well-known and recognized contemporary living artists, Banksy, but anyone can tell apart his work. His paintings are all over the walls in various places in the world. And people are always looking forward to his new appearances intriguing his audience with the mystery of his identity and attracting attention with his original art.

🎼🎶 He's s really "in the swing of things" with his art, accordian to these guys🎶🎵
I love all of Banksy's work, I would love him to paint my house!.
When the paintings started appearing, people immediately started speculating if the street art belonged to the enigmatic contemporary artist Banksy, who is known all around the world for his satirical and dark-humored topics.
Even though people are very familiar with his distinctive stenciling technique, they still were not convinced who was the author of the new paintings until the artist himself posted a video on his Instagram account showing the process of creating the new art.

Only after you shove 100 quarters into the darned thing.
Load More Replies...From the video, we get to know the theme of the painting series, which is “A great British spraycation.” Banksy shows that he traveled in a camper with all his paints and spiced up some of the streets in coastal cities in England.
The places Banksy visited are in Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Cromer, Norfolk, Lowestoft and Oulton Broad in Suffolk.

Council removed it because heavy rain was forecast and it was blocking the drain

It makes PERFECT sense if you've read "The Egg Theory" by Andy Weir (basically Hinduism / Buddhism in a nutshell).

Loool! I have that on a tshirt, favorite part of Finding Nemo!
Load More Replies...It's on his website as part of this 'spraycation'.

That must be annoying, i mean you cant get rid of the skip now can you!

🐭🐀Rats actually make great pets. MUCH better than 🐹hamsters, gerbils and mice🐁... sturdier and less prone to biting. TV and movies have ruined bats, rats & snakes for people. Worst part is they use the mellowest, "tamest", most beneficial of species and make people afraid of them...all for a buck💰🤑
Load More Replies...You spelt my name wrong but, yep, a nice cocktail is a good way to end the day! 😜
Load More Replies...I just read this: As with the other Lowestoft pieces, the council was considering protecting the work, but on Saturday the mural had been defaced with white paint. East Suffolk Council said security officers on patrol in the area found someone trying to cover up the artwork. The council said it would look at ways of restoring the artwork.
You can hear a woman in the video say that what Banksy has done is mindless vandalism and there are other people who think like that. Because the art is out in public, on the walls of various buildings, and it often is integrated into the surroundings, it tends to be removed or painted over.
The 'spraycation' series which just appeared is already being destroyed and several of the paintings are gone. But there are efforts being made to protect Banksy's art. But maybe the fact that his art is pretty temporary is one of the factors of why the artist is so popular.

Did Banksy confirm it was them? That doesn’t seem to fit their modus operandi. Edit: it seems a bit tacky, but it doesn’t appear that the statue was damaged at least.
From https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-norfolk-58145220 Banksy and statues: It's not the first time Banksy has worked with sculptures. Previous stunts include him making Winston Churchill resemble a punk by adding a strip of turf to his head, and in 2004 he placed his version of Rodin's The Thinker (titled The Drinker and portraying a regretful figure with a traffic cone on his head) in central London. In 2009 Banksy displayed several of his takes on Renaissance sculptures at a secretly organised show at Bristol Museum, with the subjects seen carrying shopping bags or wearing a suicide vest. A sculpture of an angel with a paint pot on its head remains on display.
Load More Replies...well that's not vandalism, but, compared to the others, that's not art either
Actually, it is vandalism, it just is sanctioned in this case.... Regrettably!
Load More Replies...If Bansky weren't prone to, as the woman cited below calls "mindless vandalism," his better works would last. The seagull, the admiralty road dancers, the children bailing their boat... all brilliant and should be treasured by their community, even if "unofficial." (The claw is hilarious, but I can't quite expect it to treasured.) This is childish, and the model village is flat-out destruction.
The model village house was ADDED to the existing models. He didn't destroy one that was there.
Load More Replies...One of the paintings that showed a child flying in an inflatable boat with another child hanging on the edge was covered up because in 2018, three-year-old Ava-May Littleboy actually died when her inflatable trampoline was lifted up by strong winds and that happened not too far from the wall where Banksy placed his graffiti. Also, this painting was not included in the video.

Looks like the whole spray painted house is an add on - which is the only scenario where this is ok
He writes: Banksy and on the side: go big or go home.... I think he dislike the hole thing 😉
Can someone tell what’s real on this picture and which part is sprayed/painted? I feel like it’s all a painting.
It's a model village, so everything is a miniature and manmade (explains those GIANT crows, lol), guess that's why everything doesn't look quite real.
Load More Replies...The sprayed house is an add-on he built himself. The original is behind. No original model was sprayed on.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm really meh about Banksy. The art is ok, not brilliant, but he seems so so pretentious. And he's worth about $20 million, for those who thinks he makes no money off his work.
I've never considered it pretentious, in fact it seems like an attempt to make art that is relevant and understandable by everyday viewers. I'll never forget the first time I saw a Banksy, turning a corner in Bristol and seeing a picture on the street that made me smile. Compare, if you will, to a banana taped to a wall?
Load More Replies...Can only agree. He doesn't work for money and he always wan't us to think about why we live and how!!!!
Load More Replies..."He's showing that our society is like....so.....bad....man".....Says every white liberal arts/art school 18-25 year old. But is Banksy really informative? He shows that we pollute!!!!....But are we going to live a life where we don't pollute at all? He shows there's inequality!!!!....So we should all give all our money into one collective pot that's divided equally? Um.....okay.
So... if someone is overweight, do you think the only possible solution is to starve themselves until they die? Do you think that the solution to every problem is to do the polar opposite? Your argument is flawed, and so obviously flawed that for the last 2,000+ years, there has been a term for that type of BS, called "reductio ad absurdum"
