As a tall driver who has to contort my body if I'm the first in line for traffic lights, these would make driving so much more pleasant.
Sadly, these pics are over 2 years old. Those are probably long gone by now.
Honestly Ukraine looks to be a very cool, hip country when it's not being attacked by a maniacal evil empire.
Im from ukraine and ive seen those before! They are very cool.
Would allow the traffic lights to be more easily differentiated from a city street full of competing lights. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish which lights are the traffic lights.
so would the clearest version of the profile photo come before or after d pic
Sending an unsolicited D pic would administer an electric shock to the sender.

This app have some little game (like question/answer, see what you have in common, etc.), you can decide if the "price" of game is unblurred picture.s For i.e: if your match and you have 3/5, then unblurred my pictures... It was cool and funny
I had this idea for a dating app. It's like adult friend finder. But it's for adults to find friends. It's hard to meet people after 40 to just be friends. All my friends are coworkers, and there's stuff you don't discuss with coworkers.
Reminds me of that dumb reality show where people dated with a wall between them. Then when they met, the expressions on their faces said so much, lol. We are visual creatures, it's why the beauty industry is a billion dollar industry.
True! I don't care if I'm vain but between two men that have great personalities and treat me nicely the one I find attractive is a boyfriend and the one that I don't is a friend. And I'm not ashamed. At least I'm clear and I don't string anyone along 🤷🏻♀️

And... queue the cleared up photo. TLDR: People are going to be who they are regardless of the app. If someone is going to swipe left based solely on your looks then they probably did you a favor.
AOL, Prodigy, and Compuserve allowed for deep conversations (truth or lies, who knows?) without photos. The internet in the day of text only was very different.
“Designers humor” joined Twitter in 2013 and now has more than 995k followers with its Instagram account combined! The page introduces itself as “the largest design meme account on the internet,” and we have no reason to doubt that. As the socials are run by a designer themselves, "Designers humor" has become a beloved source of humor and inspiration for designers and creatives around the world.
Even if you’re not from the design industry yourself, we believe these posts might resonate with you, as they often touch on universal themes and experiences that we all can relate to.
except no actual designer would ever touch word. Ever. not even for word processing, that's called indesign.
Oh no 😅 apparently I am not an “actual designer” then lol, I use InDesign a lot for creating layouts/wireframes but if I just need a word processor to make a text document I absolutely use Word 😅 (or even my iPhone notes app in a pinch lol, it’s technically a word processor in a pinch) InDesign is not actually made or optimized for easy word processing, it’s a layout design application. You can make some really beautiful text layouts with it for sure, and I’ve used it before to design a book page layout, but if you’re just trying to create a nice text document, you’re possibly just making it needlessly complicated by trying to go through ID. (I create all the official sales forms & paperwork for my job and I use Word for that, if you know what you’re doing you can actually make beautiful PDF documents in Word 🙂 plus we Word nerds know how to very easily solve all the normal layout issues that people complain about in these memes with Word (including moving elements without accidentally starting a war in a foreign country! Or messing with image aspect ratios without sirens in the distance!) so it’s honestly a breeze to design documents in for me, in tandem with a touch of photoshop/ai - but it can be a weirdly complicated program and not everyone can use it to the fullest without training - just like InDesign!). (Also to add, I just asked my mentor, and he says he’s never heard of a designer using InDesign for normal word processing, he himself actually writes copy in Word and then brings the text over to InDesign or Ai or Ps.) Every designer is different though so if some of you love using ID as a word processor then please keep rockin it :) but don’t forget the mantra: work smarter, not harder! Using the right tools for the right job will always save you time and effort :) especially in this industry where time is money lol

I don't want to advertise MS but this is how it used to be. Today you just have to put the picture in the foreground and it works perfectly or you simply create a table.
Right click on the image (or use the picture tab at the top, which will be highlighted), 'wrap text', and choose 'tight' or 'through' (there are other options but these will get rid of the headache!

We believe that every worker has faced some challenges that made them think of their life choices. Looking at these memes, it’s clear that we all experience difficulties, regardless of our profession. The most important thing is that obstacles do not stop us from pursuing our goals and dreams. And in the face of hardships, it always helps to maintain a positive attitude. Additionally, laughing at your problems might also be a good way to let off some steam.
No truer words have been spoken. (This one's been my favorite for years)

Bored Panda contacted Kristina Leonardi, a holistic career coach, personal growth expert, speaker, and author of Say It To Make It: Affirmations to Empower the Heart, Mind, Spirit and Soul, to gain a deeper understanding about the challenges that people encounter in their workplace and discover effective strategies to overcome them. She shared that it can help to review all the choices that lead people to becoming a designer, for example, and then take some time to analyze the frustrations that they are encountering.
“For instance, is it just client management or the actual designing part, because perhaps there just needs to be some outsourcing of the things that you don’t like or are not good at, or you might be able to use your design skills in another way. As a holistic career coach, when I talk to my clients, I do a whole life/work history and can really connect the dots to see what sparks their passion and why they chose what they chose and if it still makes sense at this point in their life.”

As individuals navigate their careers, it is inevitable to encounter some obstacles along the way. It can be a difficult project or a challenging boss and can significantly affect one’s job satisfaction and general well-being. Some setbacks can be severe enough to prompt an individual to experience burnout or even to leave their job. Kristina Leonardi explained that everyone is on a path of growth and evolution and sometimes a job or career has served its purpose and it’s time to move on; “so pay attention to what life is showing you or how it might be signaling it’s time to do something else. Because by letting go of the old, you could find yourself in a whole other field or world and life that really lights you up. It takes a lot of courage to change and move into the unknown, so folks would rather suffer in the familiar.”

In today's fast-paced and demanding work environment, stress can be a common experience for many people in design and other industries. According to Kristina Leonardi, the use of memes can be a great stress relief most of the time. “It shows that people understand your pain and are going through similar things and there is a sense of relief and not feeling so alone in that.” If laughing off your problems doesn’t help, Leonardi shared that it is important to remember to breathe. “Taking time for a few deep breaths every hour can bring you back into your body, lower your stress and allow you to refocus from a more present space. Taking breaks and getting fresh air and short walks are also really helpful, especially for designers who are generally tied to a computer all day.”
Not a graphic designer (though years ago worked in Advertising Design and Pagination/layout) ... but at one time (also years ago,but not as many as the above) I wrote a script to auto save any text or sql files I had open in two programs - if they weren't already saved, it saved them with a timestamp name to my desktop - and set it up to run every 30 minutes in task scheduler .... saved my behind many many times
I am a writer. I used Microsoft Word like in 1998. I still save my documents at least 4 times per minute ctrl+s ctrl+s ctrl+s. I use Pages for writing, nothing has gone wrong in 20 years. ctrl+s ctrl+s ctr+s...

...which is why you double your fee, if at all possible. Makes you more 'valuable' to the client. (I don't get this -- but I know it works.)
This is painfully accurate. I have a $300 a quarter client who wants me to act like I'm an owner in her company. Yeah, nah.
I don't get what's the problem. People who can only pay $500 probably aren't swimming in money like people who can afford $50.000. no need to throw shades at people. That $500 could actually be their livelihood and life.

Sometimes it is crucial to seek professional help to achieve personal growth. However, some people might hold misconceptions about getting professional assistance to help them navigate workplace challenges. Kristina Leonardi shared that a common misconception would be thinking that changing their job is going to make people happier. “Sometimes that is the case, sometimes it’s not, and sometimes if they leave their job, they are bringing themselves to the next place and the same challenges will be there because they are the common denominator (i.e. same boyfriend, different name), so the change is required within them or in their lifestyle or in other parts of their life, which could often mitigate some of the workplace challenges.”

Parents must have been making damn great money to buy a house in their 20s. Unless they grew up in the 1940s of course.

This is why I prefer working in Media Production rather than Design. Because most design work is just boring and mundane stuff. I work in a small design agency and I never want to make some goddamn personalized birthday invitations ever again.
For me it's more like I have the greatest design thought out in my head, but then it becomes incredibly stressful for me when I start to actually create design to make it look exactly like how I envisioned it in my head.
I used to work for a high end tableware designer in Seattle (I'm bookkeeping, got nothing to do with the artistic side). I could not believe what a pittance she paid these incredibly talented young ladies. $12 a f*cking hour? (2009ish?) Are you serious? Most of these kids were in debt up to their eyeballs because of student loans and still lived at home in their late 20's. Pariah.

Well, he was the original graphic designer. And he used Word, just not MS Word.
The worst client I ever had got me to finally leave the business was a couple who wanted a website with one of those annoying 'loading' screens (even though no one needs a website to load anymore this isn't freaking dial up). I created a gif of what the loading bar would look like for their approval and sent them the link to view it. They call me the next day livid because they said it wasn't working. I go and check it and it's working fine so I'm trying to troubleshoot why the gif isn't working, trying to see if it's their browser, etc etc. Nothing. Then, after being called sweetheart by the male client like 30 times and being talked to like I was dumb, his wife lets it slip that she feels like I need to discount the service for the amount of paper they've gone through testing it. I'm like...what? Turns out the gif was fine, they were printing out and didn't understand why it wasn't moving. I'm like...because this isn't Hogwarts. They didn't apologize or even act embarrassed.
It’s always so annoying when someone else thinks they’re good at design but then you print it and find that nothing is centered.

YUP. I once sent a client 4-5 simple questions about what she wanted, and she dismissed it with “oh I’m too lazy to fill that out, I’m sure you’ll figure it out, you’re experienced.” Then she wasn’t happy with anything but couldn’t clarify WHY or WHAT she didn’t like. Then she ran out of her available 10 revisions because she bought my cheapest package and kept changing her mind. Then she went ahead left me a 1-star review because she didn’t get what she wanted in the end, she said something like “3 Owls didn’t understand my creative vision.” BECAUSE SHE DIDNT BOTHER TO EXPLAIN OR ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. I TRIED! It was like 7 years ago and it still makes me mad lol.

Load More Replies...This is actually a compliment to designers. While used for people, the saying is based on the fact a book can be much more or much less than the cover implies. So when that combo is - really good looking cover but the book itself is c**p - that's actually a compliment to the designer. Sometimes it's the other way around but you can't win them all.
The biggest bs ever! Do judge a book by its cover, you don't wanna spend a day just taking every single book out of the shelf at the book store to see if it's nice despite the ugly cover
I found one of my favourite book series by judging the first book by its cover. The cover caught my attention so entirely that I spent several years always looking for that book when I had a bit of money for books. It must have been 5 years later and likely a couple of cover design changes before I had the spare cash. Never regretted it

Not sure what type of file you are referring to, but when this happens to me in word I check that the 'scale under size and position (right click or on picture tab at top) and make sure 'lock aspect ratio' and 'relative to original picture size' are ticked. It prevents warping from minimising/enlarging.

HEY. Canva can actually be a good tool. I used to be embarrassed about occasionally using it (so much faster than PS or AI sometimes) until I admitted it to my very-experienced mentor and he said “aw nah I sometimes make my backgrounds in Canva and then bring them into illustrator to finish.” I think new designers think they have to ONLY use super professional complicated tools to be a “real” designer, while actual experienced designers tend to just roll with the “work smarter, not harder” philosophy.

My favorite is creating a brilliant, time comsuming (probably gonna win an award) graphic . Then tossing in two 5 minute afterthoughts so they think they have options. And they pick one of the afterthoughts.
People who think that the job that takes 15 seconds to explain, also takes that amount of time to do.
Lol, I’m a cake designer and I feel this way often too with clients. I love it when they say they want something “super easy” and it’s a multi tiered wedding cake covered in gumpaste/sugar flowers and intricate details, 10 different flavors and fillings that will take hours and expect it for basically free. They see cake shows on tv where people put cakes together in 30 min and think it’s real life- it’s so easy! Majority of people just don’t have a clue.
If there's anything this has taught me is that I should keep using Not Adobe for my designs for the sake of my own sanity (tbh I don't really feel like I need it, I like the software I use now a lot)
I'd love to get photoshop to use it as a drawing platform but with all the horror stories of it getting basically taken away from people I might as well pirate it..
