“Good News Of The Week”: I Illustrate Good Things That Happened Recently (30 Pics)
Every few weeks, I gather positive news stories from around the world, illustrate them, and share them. Here are some positive stories from recent months!
With mainstream media being full of negativity, this dose of happiness serves as a reminder that good things do happen.
From coral reefs to outer space, check out the good news and have your hope for our planet restored!

good job Brazil! I don’t know what that is but I’m assuming it’s for the preservation of the Amazon forest. When I’m old anough I’m gonna be an Amazon Rainforest explorer even though it’s extremely dangerous
I first started to illustrate good news at the beginning of 2021, when I saw an article that highlighted 10 positive things that happened in 2020. This caught my eye as 2020 was so difficult for everybody that it felt like nothing good happened in the world, so the article really made me smile. I wanted to share this with my own followers, and as I’m an artist, I thought I should illustrate the headlines to share them with my own creative flair! The post got a great reaction, and since then, my ‘Good News This Week’ posts have become a regular, much-loved series.
The reason this series is so important is that people don’t tend to naturally come across these positive stories as we do with negative news. And so when I come to making a Good News This Week post, I have to search the internet to find them. Thankfully, there are a handful of websites dedicated to sharing good news, and the Good News Movement is generating popularity for this hopeful and inspiring form of news.
This sounds like it could and should be good news, but more context is needed
I particularly enjoy highlighting stories about animals, nature, and the environment. Eco-anxiety can often leave these areas feeling overwhelmingly hopeless, so learning, for example, that an animal has come back from the brink of extinction is wonderful.
This series has been ongoing for 2 years, and I have no plans to stop. It brings so much joy and hope to all who see it, and hope can inspire change. When we see that positive change is happening, we become optimistic that it’s not too late, we find motivation, and we want to be part of it.
This is good, but smokers just shouldn't treat the world as their ashtray. DO NOT LITTER
I try to see the positives in everything, but I find it disgusting that they kept the poor creature captive for 50 years!
Yay, animal testing is cruel and we need to find a better way to see if things are bad
We already have other ways to test, we have for years. It’s been disgusting how long the animal testing has gone on.
Load More Replies...ok ok ok ok i know its just my opinion, BUT i say we just test on VOLUNTARY humans, but i know in the past lots of people of color have been tested on unwillingly so it might not be the best idea
Hi! Not sure if you're aware, but we do have this already, they're called clinical trials. However, in order to get to the human testing stage, a lot of other testing is done through various simulations, sometimes animal testing. Also, animal testing is also pretty high on the list of to-do's so at that point, a lot of things are safe for treatment. The biggest issue is finding animals with that pre-existing condition (or one similar), meaning some groups with induce the condition. THIS is the really bad part.
Load More Replies...It's about time! Now they can start using inmates in for life or on death row to be useful for once.
I know that I'll be downvoted but I don't think it is really a good news. Yesss, animals react to drugs differently than humans yadda yadda. Still, they're mammals too, they have basic functions the same as humans. And whilr in many cases animal testing is unnecessary, I'd rather have the first or more risky tests done on animals than on humans. Sorry.
Between 90-98% of drugs that work on animals fail in human tests. Think of how many drugs COULD HAVE cured cancer, MS, etc that were not trialed on people because they failed in animals. We will never know.
Load More Replies...Sharks are beautiful. WE'RE in THEIR territory and we need to respect that.
sad thing about coral is people carve they're names into it, coral is alive, its kinda like cruelty, imagine someone carving they're name into your skin
John was also a Paralympic sprinter and won bronze in Beijing. He also works as an orthopedic doctor, and one of his dreams was to become the first astronaut with a disability.
Dunno if this is actually good news. Women being equal breadwinners just means they have to work just as much as their husband to be able to keep afloat. It means they have less time for their children and for themselves. Not saying the household or upbringing shouldn't be shared equally, what I'm saying is that it's become a necessity and not a choice...
Thank God! Too late for me (my kids are too old), but great for new parents :)
The cynic is concerned it might have been better news it it was left undiscovered.
