55 Artists Recreate Kids’ Monster Doodles In Their Unique Styles
It's monstrous that school children aren't allowed to spend more time doing art in schools. Drawing, after all, helps in developing imagination and creativity, improves memory, communication skills, and has many other beneficial aspects. This project aims to change the schools' outlook to doodling, one cool drawing at a time.
The Monster Project, based out of Texas, pairs up elementary students with professional artists; the kids create a monster drawing, and the artist draws or produces a piece inspired by the kids' drawing ideas.
"...we understand how important that initial creative exposure is and how it can truly alter the shape of a child's future," states the project Kickstarter page. "Creativity comes in many forms, and we hope to encourage their exploration of their own unique perceptions of the world we share. And, while we're at it, we want to introduce to them the notion of art as a legitimate career path."
Scroll down to see how these creative and at times a bit funny kids drawings were re-imagined by professional artists below. We sure would love to have our childhood pencil drawings done this way!

It's supposed to be minecraft the black things an ender man and the dragon is the ender dragon and u can see. On the bottom left that there is TNT.
Cool. You stayed true to the original drawing. I like it. Bet the kid will too.
Cool! But sometimes I see more in the child'sdrawing than I do in the artist's.
I think the log is supposed to be a firework exploding. In a kid's mind it is a literal timeline of events. It's how they represent something happening. It opens, it goes boom and the pic above it is the sparkly stars of the fireworks.
Did you notice the kid's original drawing inside the crane operator's cab?
It looks like Venus: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=venus+the+cat&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=979&tbm=isch&imgil=x8-RgeRt4wlQKM%253A%253B8FU_VgEaMNL_yM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.dailymail.co.uk%25252Fnews%25252Farticle-2193843%25252FTwo-faced-cat-goes-viral-Meet-Venus-famous-feline-whos-winning-fans-world-wide.html&source=iu&pf=m&fir=x8-RgeRt4wlQKM%253A%252C8FU_VgEaMNL_yM%252C_&usg=__bfWPt_TeuDb3poySF1GcYJnoNzI%3D&ved=0CCoQyjdqFQoTCLXrgLrc-cgCFUa2FAodM5YPQA&ei=YYY7VvW2KsbsUrOsvoAE#imgrc=x8-RgeRt4wlQKM%3A&usg=__bfWPt_TeuDb3poySF1GcYJnoNzI%3D
So sweet; not all monsters are bad and scary
I interpreted the kid's drawing to show the person offering something to the monster, perhaps a tribute or food.
You didn't stay true to the childs drawing. Where is the snake? or the little thing inside the tummy? or the little man trying to stab it in the head? Why did you change the sun to a moon? It's a cute monster, but that is not what the child drew.
For some reason to me the child's drawing looks like monster whp slayed child of man and woman who appear sad. Yhe monster tried to run away with child's head and super hero ninja pops out to slay the monster. That's not what artist's version shows at all.
I love this since it sticks to the original but the horse legs creep me out
