It doesn't matter if you use a pencil, a crayon, or the tip of your nose to create cool art, it is no small feat to produce something that'll knock everyone's socks off.
Some artists do well with just a few tools; take, for example, Bulgarian illustrator Angel Ganev. Although we are sure he could make beautiful art using a variety of drawing techniques, he often chooses to create amazing pictures using pencils alone.
In the midst of his collection on Instagram, you should be quick to notice a selection of perfect pencil portrait drawings. Their charm lies in the way they stand in stark contrast to the ethereal technique of lighting that makes the pencil drawings appear as though they are glowing.
Each drawing idea is coupled with a unique mood, wherein the glow becomes a feeling of a warm autumn evening with a cup of tea in one pencil sketch and a cool metallic touch of magic in another.
But don't take our word for it, scroll down and see for yourself!

Love this one. The way he uses light to highlight either the smoke from a cigarette or the steam coming off of a cup of hot coffee or tea is really inviting.
Agreed. I really want some of that coffee! (It's gotta be coffee, right?)

I enjoyed the whole gallery (which rarely hapopens). Those are "simple" drawings, but by adding that light they turn into something magical. Loved every picture.
These WERE NOT made with pencil alone don't be fooled by the description of the article, The colors and lighting are added digitally. It's the most flagrant on photo #3, the steam is from a brush pack called Smoke brush and the textures of the brush for the colors are to sharp to have been made with a pencil . (Fake news) Nice art tho
While the art itself is quite pretty, I hate that boredpanda makes a big deal out of it. I've seen several artist doing that and - I'm sorry, but that 'pretty glow effect' is not accomplished with pencils but with a computer/tablet and drawing software :'D His other artwork on IG would have been much cooler to look at.
I Have been a fan of Angel's Art for a long time, All of his female sketches are Beautifully done with a lot of Class. And I always look forward to seeing his next Art post..
I bet that you are! ^^ Don't compare yourself to others and just do what you love
Load More Replies...The way these photos are lit leads me to believe he is using some sort of glowy pigment, which really lessons the impact for me. Plus, the sameness of style and subject matter here and on his insta makes me feel a little . . . icky.
Glowing pigment don't exist, the artist used a computer program to make those, don't trust the description of the article =)
Load More Replies...I like the style, but I think the artist needs to work a bit more on making the faces more unique. All the pictures have the same nose and huge lips, which makes them look too similar.
