My concern is that these guys dating girls so they will clean up after them, make them food and generally serve their every whim. Why else would a guy bring over his girl and show her such an alarming mess? If he actually cared about her or their relationship, they'd at least TRY to clean some of it up. So ya the lack of effort is a big red flag. To the ladies of these boys: start as you wish to continue. You are not his maid, you are his equal, his partner and work is shared. If he tries to treat you like an object, leave, he does not deserve you and you will be happier living with dignity and not as someone's personal maid.

The first one wasn't that bad. I thought it was petty. Yep there was a dead mouse on the side but that was because the mouse took the mask off. A warning to all those that don't wear a mask as you see. The second house yeah was in a state.

My sister looks very attractive and clean to the world, but she still leaves sanitary napkins and old, uneaten food in her drawers. Regardless of your age, if you’re old enough to date, you’re old enough to clean up after yourself (not just for a date). Better yet, don’t make a mess in the first place.

My son shared an apartment for a few years. The room of his roommate and the (shared) living room looked just like that, most of the times. The only (halfway) clean areas were the bathroom and my son's room. My son too had clothes lying around .. and he should have vacuumed more often ... but at least the floor wasn't sticky (from whatever🤢) and there weren't any leftovers or empty packaging, cans and bottles lying around.

I can't help but wonder how many of the girlfriend pictures were staged. And here I was almost believing that women were absolutely above "shaming" posts.

I can't stand looking at a mess that's why my room is always clean, I have slight OCD and messes can sometimes irritate me.

There are men that are terrible when it comes to having a clean home environment to live in. However, there are also women that are just as bad. So stop shaming.

WOMEN.......Raise your sons to be good husbands! Teach them to clean, cook, and how to do laundry. Its amazing these men survive past College. introduce them to a dry-cleaner, and show them how to compare grocery prices as well as as read labels. There is a reason men don't live as long as Women.....this is one example. Teach them to survive longer in the wild, and maybe they will pick a better mate!

Don't do it, ladies. If a grown man chooses to live like a pig, he can sleep in his dusty sheets alone. A grown man should not be living like a feral pig on the lam. It won't get better after marriage. You'll be constantly picking up after him, while he feigns ignorance on how to do basic chores. Only date grown men who know how to respect themselves, and their partners, with a clean and tidy living environment they are capable of maintaining themselves.

I do; by far, the most cleaning in our 3 bedroom apartment in NYC. She makes up for that in other ways. It all balances out in the end.

wow... i'm amazed any of these people complaining/being horrified have time for a job, considering how much time they must spend cleaning their homes. i'd love to gross everyone out, but effort. my house generates dust like no other, and all three of us are disabled. vacuuming happens twice a year, if that. dusting happens approximately never. yes, we own pets. yes, i'm aware we'd probably feel better if we cleaned more, but guess what. we can't. and it hasn't killed us yet. these weenies crying about a little hair in the shower, a tiny toothpaste smear in the sink, an empty cup on a table, y'all need to chill the hell out. none of those things are dangerous, or even unsanitary. how much waste do you all generate cleaning everything so obsessively, with lysol and disposable crap? how much water, doing laundry every other day? christ. life is too short for that.
