This is not cute or funny. That child needs to be taught what she did was wrong and never to do anything like that again. Encouraging behavior like this will result in her growing up to be a self entitled brat...just what this world has enough of.

Just because the toys can't be returned doesn't mean she should keep them. She shouldn't be rewarded for doing the wrong thing. That's bad training. At the very least, this would have been an opportunity to teach her about children in need and let her donate those toys to charity.

I find it hard to believe that the items could not be returned but if that is true posting a smiling child pics and letting her keep the toys is sending her a terrible message. I would have taken all her presents away (except maybe one surprise) frog march her and the toys to the local shelter and make her give them all up. No wonder she is a sneak thief if her mum tells her its ok to steak because hay you can keep 60% so make sure you still big.

I hope the mother did not compliment the little girl after that! She should have been taught that such things are not allowed for little kids to do!

Nonsense, she could have cancelled the purchases once she got the notifications. Even when dispatched, you can refuse delivery so that it goes back to the retailer. Mum just wanted to show how "smart" her kid was but really she's raising a brat

The girl should of been made to donate all of the toys, to a local organization that gives out free toys to kids whos parents can't afford tobuy any. This mother is disgraceful for making a big show of what her daughter did!

A criminal in the making ! She should get her a*s beat, not reward her with a story so other kids can read it and do the same ! I would have made her give all those toys to children who would not get toys for Christmas ! Parents are our kids worst enemies by letting them get by. Even if. Couldn't return the other 9 toy once the came in the mail i would have opened the order and taken the toys and my child to a children's hospital and had him or her give them away to the sick kids. By doing this I would hopefully be teaching my child that there are consequences for your actions. I would also have santa leave a letter explaining that a gift wouldn't be given this Christmas because of he/she was being greedy. I would also consider returning gifts that i had bought only giving her one gift for Christmas.

ever since i got my kindle fire almost 5 years ago and let my grandchildren play with it I had it password protected so anything that anyone tried to buy anything on Amazon it would have to type my password in. To not password protect it in this day and age is dumb.

I guess kids see their parents "magically" order things online with a swipe here and there and think their parents can "magically" make money. Parents, you still have to teach your kids about money and budgeting.

If that were my kid, i would have made her give the toys away to kids in need. That may seem like a waste of money but any kid that sneaky doesn't, imo, deserve the toys. Teach her its not okay to do that

My kid wouldn´t have gotten **** for christmas. The non returnable items would have gon to charity or somthing.

There would be no happy,impish grins over this& I'd be taking her and all that loot to a toy drive. She knew it was wrong, why wait 4 a nap?

If my daughter had done this, she would go with me to take the items that couldn't be returned to a homeless shelter or a charity. Absolutely no way would she be allowed to keep them.

There was another incident similar to this but the mom donated the stuff to a charity.Maybe this family should learn from them.

If this story were true, Amazon has no limit on returns. She could have returned all of them. The little girl needs her a*s spanked. Also she should have only gotten 1 present for christmas. The rest should have been donated to a shelter. Mom is defiant not a good mother for bragging about this.

It's lovely to see all the people here talking about this mother should raise HER daughter. "She should get nothing", "Kid's spoiled", blah blah blah, etc, etc, etc. Some parents raise their kids a bit differently than the domination/submissive roles. If her daughter was smart enough to do this, who's to say she's not smart enough to sit down and have a talk about why it's wrong. Just because some people know more ways to deal with their children other than smacking them and taking away all their things, doesn't mean it's wrong. Maybe some commenters' parents should have spent less time grounding them and more time teaching them how to not be a judgmental brat.
