Woman deal with a lot of shit and a lot of the time they do it without complaining. This superpower to push through sometimes gives men the impression that our struggles aren’t that bad. From harassment to childbirth to periods sometimes there is the need to ‘womansplain’ how bad things can really get.
Youtuber Tyler Oakley, learned this lesson, when he tweeted out an innocent update about a bloody nose he got in the shower and how alarming seeing all that blood was for him. When I'm on my period and a significant amount of water touches my body, my period stops. It starts back up after I'm out of water a few minutes. I thought everyone was this way until sister informed me that this was yet another of my weirdnesses.
