Standing in sharp opposition to President Trump, Clooney has been a vocal critic of some his more questionable policies. His philanthropic gestures and dedication to humanitarian causes show that he is a man of principle and empathy, something sadly lacking in the current administration.

I applaud him for doing so... too bad United Way is one of the biggest offenders about money going directly to the intended disaster. (IE: approx 5-10 cents for every dollar is spent on that particular disaster. Red Cross is another big offender). I wish I can find the link! Salvation army is ranked one of the highest (if not the highest) for the amount of money going towards something. Please, don not misconstrue this as I don't volunteer or donate when I can, because I do or that I don't appreciate what these foundations/charities do. I live in Sacramento and with that Camp Fire that has killed at least 80 people and destroyed a whole community and without these peoples help, god, I can only imagine how worse all this can be in relief efforts.

During the mid-1990s the junior executive at Fox, Brian Graden, asked his friends Matt Stone and Trey Parker to make an animated Christmas card based on a five-minute stop-motion movie they made at the University of Colorado. Graden made 35 VHS copies and sent them to his friends, that shared it with their friends. One copy ended up in George Clooney's hands. Executive producer Anne Garefino recalls "Before we even began working on the series, the fact that George Clooney had made hundreds of VHS copies of The Spirit of Christmas and sent them out to all his friends was already the stuff of Hollywood history. There's people that say he made so much money and donated only a small fraction of it to so and so but he donates money to many charities. He is a generous guy with a huge heart (and he's a beautiful man don't forget)

Think how great the world could be if every rich person was this generous. Obviously, once you reach a certain level of "richness", giving away large chunks of money doen't put a dent into your lifestyle, so there's no reason for the other rich 1%-ers not to do so as well (well except for the fact that them and their families are nothing but greedy a*s bastards).
