Nothing will make you feel more like a dinosaur than a Gen-Zer’s take on Millennials. A mom’s daughter exemplified this after she brutally rated 1990s and 2000s heartthrobs on the lower end of her beauty standard scale, provoking a flood of divided reactions online.

Caitlin Baudhuin, a real estate agent from Memphis, Tennessee, USA, took to her TikTok page earlier this month to share the harsh reality that the actors she grew up with weren’t so popular anymore.

In a video, which has amassed 1.1 million views, Caitlin asked her Gen-Z daughter to rate heartthrobs of the 1990s and 2000s on a scale of 1 to 10. And let’s just say that she got what she asked for.

A reminder that Gen-Z, or Generation-Z, refers to the demographic cohort succeeding Millennials and preceding Generation Alpha. Gen Z typically includes individuals born between 1997 and 2013.

“All right. These are all teen heartthrobs that I had in the 1990s,” the Millennial mom started. “First one, ready?” she added before showing a picture of Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan.

“Got a rate, zero to ten,” Caitlin instructed.

The daughter, unimpressed, rated Zachery a three. The realtor went on to present a picture of Dawson’s Creek’s James Van Der Beek.

“It’s so bad,” the girl quipped. “It’s, like, I don’t even know.”

Caitlin then showed off another Dawson’s Creek star, this time Joshua Jackson, to which the girl expressed total disgust.

“That’s two. The last one was a four. That one’s so bad. He’s so ugly,” she exclaimed.

The exasperated mom tried to show a picture of Saved By The Bell’s Mark-Paul Gosselaar, but it didn’t help, as the daughter said: “Why is his smile, like, it looks like he’s not even happy.

“It looks like he’s fake smiling.

“And then, like, his hair, like, why is that a sleek back?”

The daughter rated most actors below a 4 out of 10

Mark-Paul was subsequently rated a 2.5/10 by the teenager. It is important to note that Caitlin showed pictures of the celebrities when they were young as opposed to what they all looked like now.

Caitlin’s comment section was flooded with comments from people who were left completely stunned at the young girl’s critiques, as a TikTok user wrote: “2.5 for Zack Morris is criminal lol.”

Another person commented: “Rating Joshua Jackson that low is criminal,” to which Caitlin replied: “I almost grounded her after that one.”

Someone else penned: “Girl how dare you disrespect Pacey!

“The boy is a cutie to this day!”

Nevertheless, other commentators seemingly agreed with Caitlin’s daughter, as a person stated: “I’m legit agreeing with her these boys weren’t cute.”

Someone else chimed in: “Soo unpopular opinion but I have to side with your daughter on all these except Zach Morris…”

Caitlin went on to post a follow-up video, where her daughter did a “part two” of rating former heartthrobs.

The mom showed A Walk To Remember star Shane West, who was quickly rated a 3 (still out of 10).

You can watch Caitlin’s daughter’s harsh reviews below:

Freddie Prince Jr. was also rated a 3, while Joseph Gordon Levitt did much better, getting a “four or a five.”

It was Princess Diaries’ Erik Von Detton, however, who surpassed all expectations, as he was rated an impressive (considering the previous negative reviews) 5.5 out of 10.

According to the holy grail of Gen-Z’s trend-birther (TikTok), the new heartthrobs include Timothée Chalamet, Jacob Elordi, Barry Keoghan, Tom Holland, Harry Styles, and Paul Mescal.

Caitlin’s daughter’s blunt answers continued to amuse people on social media

I suspect because these 'heartthrobs' were unknown to the daughter, she rated them low because she didn't know who they were. Put them into today's 'star' sphere, and she'd be gaga over them. Look at the butt-ugly 'stares' we have today that pass as 'heart throbs' because they've been pumped up as such by the media companies.

Exactly. People liked those 'heartthrobs' only because they were popular. I am a millennial but I am not from US, so don't know any of these guys except Joseph Gordon Levitt. Definitely most of them are meh.....

I see this as normal light-hearted generation gap stuff. The way a '90s teen would laugh at heartthrobs from the '70s.
