Using a neglected meeting room, the senior staff at Viking Direct enlisted a secret group of employees to build a Westeros-inspired space, as a way of saying thank you for the company’s recent hard work.

Transformed into a recreational games room for the team, the room features lots of references to the hit show, including a three-eyed raven, three golden dragon eggs and even Ned’s head.

    This is where it all began

    We started by designing some stained glass windows, based on our favourite moments from the show

    The windows were individually made to measure, and printed on acetate to create the stained glass effect

    Including the lower sections of the windows, we had 60 panels to go up

    Once the windows were up, the walls were covered in crushed velvet

    And then to add all of the main features, including a ping pong table, banquet table and cardboard armoury

    Then, we made the screening area and started adding a few extra features

    Then, the room officially became Westeros

    We invited staff to have a ball in the new game room

    The banquet table even included Ned’s head

    The darts board with all important names of the kingdom

    The food on offer was enjoyed by all
