It might be the 21st century, but that doesn't mean that some people's attitudes aren't still stuck in the Stone Age. But as you can see from these hilariously cutting tweets, the women who wrote them are determined to rise up against chauvinism, gender stereotyping, and general male assholery that is sadly still so prevalent in today's society. So if you're tired of lame pick up lines, obnoxious cat-callers, irritating gender expectations and the same-old Hollywood casting cliches, you're sure to find something to relate to in this collection of tweets compiled by Bored Panda. Don't forget to vote for the best!

Its ridiculous that women still get "The blame" for getting pregnant, and the bulk of the responsibility when men bail. To many guys aren't paying child support, which, btw, is much more expensive than buying condoms! Yes, both are to blame as it takes 2 to get pregnant, but only one is left with the result 9mos later.
I don't care how awesome Phelps is, tying for Silver isn't as awesome as setting a WORLD RECORD! She is 19 years old!
I think both men and women can be very cryptic, and the reason behind it is typically the same. Be direct - risk rejection, or hint around, to put feelers out. Mind games are exhausting. I'd rather get rejected, than waste time on guessing games.
Or experienced Taco Tuesday, or had multiple orgasms, or done any number of things. That statement makes it sound like everything after marriage is downhill.
I never read that garbage as kid. Highlights, National Geographic, and Archies comics.
@Kali Pavata I have to agree with you that this poem describes arguing with a moron in a toxic relationship more than mansplaining. But believe me mansplaining is real. You are lucky when you never had to experience it. But it can be really discouraging and uncomfortable when there is a group of men trying to teach you better although you knew the correct answer or way of doing something before.
Sorry to be a smart a*s, but punch cards were invented for sewing machines and the first coders were in fact women. Without women such as Ada Lovelace and Grace Hopper, Computer Science would not be where it is today. Thinking that women are unskilled by gender when it comes to computer is plainly stupid.
Yeah... how about we get an apology for having to take pills that inevitably change our hormones just so you don't have to put a condom on. But honestly, wtf. Imagine being in a relationship and then having to apologize for THIS. Yeah, I'd end the relationship right there.
Oh, that sounds like a good game of bar tab chicken...#TshirtWorthy
He told me to get back in the kitchen on xbox live and I just needed to have him
Reclameshit2015 2016 - I bet it gets lonely communicating with your hand every night, but that's probably easier to communicate with than a woman who has her own thoughts and emotions. Considering how condescending and ill-thought out your comment was, I highly doubt you have many people clamoring to do something fun with you.
Lol. Or as J.K. Rowling said "Maybe because gay people just look like... people?"
Walk straight ahead, don't make eye contact, and don't dodge when men are coming at you on the sidewalk. It freaks them out no end...and they step aside every single time. Try it! It's fun!
Once a someone told me " why don't you come on over here baby and shake that thang" I was 9 he was 11
My personal deodorant favorites on men are "Drywall," "I Once Killed a Grizzly while Hunting," and "Ever Seen One this Big?" ;)
Mortgage, health insurance, dental plan - soooooo sexy (Homer Simpson drool).
Sorry, what? How could you -not- be proud to have an intelligent partner? Who gives a f what gender they are! I get that it sucks if your partner is so competitive, they would rather outdo and belittle you, than thrive with you. But barring that, I can’t fathom spending x-ty years talking about inane b******t. I thought we already established that smart is sexy. Who still thinks this way?
Amen to people that have minds of their own!! It shows a high level of education!!
Why against men? This would bother me, a girl, just as much it would probably bother any other fan, regardless of gender.
cool game! did it once. had a lot of fun. man never talked to me again, but who cares...
Men do it way more than women do,though yes there are unimaginative ,full of themselves women too. Then there are the parents so conceited, that they call their children after both of themselves...Will Smith/Willow Smith,Jada Pinkett Smith/Jaden Smith....Donald Trump/Donald Trump...Ivana Trump/Ivaka Trump.
Is anyone else as grateful as I am that Master Markus is here to instruct we poor, feeble women?
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there a "Womansplaining" because the other men on this post seem to have lost the ability to understand and I think the may need a woman to sit them down and go through t slowly.
Maybe it just means you are posting your opinion on the internet.
When a pick-up line is that bad, you have the right to at least throw something in his face.
No kidding. I'v had chances to have sex with women and have said no and have told men and they wonder why. I don't just f**k anything that moves.
Representation matters (for all people). Otherwise, it just reinforces the gender tropes. That's all that people will see. "This is how X is represented therefor this is how X must be". Unfortunately I know a lot people who never really think beyond that...
@Kali Parvata Feminazis? Why? Because we don't want a man telling us how to respond to something? That's called having a mind of our own.
True story, know a guy who took a young feminist out on a date when he was younger. This guy has always been a gentleman, the kind who opens doors and treats women with respect at all times. Young feminist yanked the door from his hand, closed it and then told him she could open her own doors, get her own chair and she didn't need his Patriarchal behavior. She then proceeded to spend the entire dinner expounding on the evils of men, and telling him all about how a Matriarchy would be better. When the bill came, he did the math and told her that her half was $15. He honestly figured if she was that offended at him opening doors that she wouldn't want him paying for her food. She got super pissed at him and wouldn't even let him drive her home because he ~made~ her pay for her own meal.
so Kali Parvata, are you saying that ALL WOMEN are smarter than men ? yes you are!!!...good job thinking that, here's your 78 cents
I love that some special little snowflake got so upset they scrolled through over 100 twitters on 4 pages just do down vote every single one. I'm not sure what amazes me more the dedication to being a jerk, in a tiny barely noticeable and completely useless way that changes nothing or the fact they have absolutely nothing better to do. Hey at least I was chuckling away & enjoying reading them tweets as I scrolled through.
Hm...this series has some clever, sarcastic quotes, but unfortunately also several that fall no shorter of being sexistic about the sexism they complain about. Moreover, many use out-of-context "evidence", such as historical things or unproven statements. I think this very serious topic could be presented with much more humour and less bitterness – the latter will just lead to people who are on your side cheering your post, and those who object to, well, object it.
Personally i feel a lot of tweets are funny and justitied. Some are probably justified but I can t relate. And Some seem to me just very meanspirited towards men. Just sharing my equally valuable male opinion.
