Yea, if you've never visited the state it's not all that funny... Also some of them made not sense to me and I've lived in that state.

Born and live in Texas and absolutely describe it as "Miles and miles and miles of just miles and miles and miles".

Some made no sense to me but I've been to America a few times and read books by a lot of American authors so was able to work out some of them.

That’s because the US is too damn big and we don’t have enough vacation time to visit many places. Most people that travel the states are older retired folks.

If you only had one week of vacation a year where the vacationing culture is to see ”as much as inhumanly possible” in a short time, I think you might not travel that far either. When I was growing up, we visited Europe once and visited 8-9 countries in 14 days which included us flying there and back (not NYC). Except for the fact that we were lucky enought to have two weeks vacation, that was considered normal. In Sweden, however, I get at least 5 weeks which changes the idea of vacation entirely. I once talked to another American about this and she replied, “I think my family might die if we had that much vacation” when she thought about how long she night have to keep up that inhumane vacation pace. ...just my experience here.

Marnee, I don’t get it either...I see many comments,that get downvoted despite their question being perfectly valid and/or innocuous in nature. I have seen comments get downvoted despite the comment being composed in such a way that many may just misread it. Seems as though so many people are too tightly wound, these days, and tend to have knee-jerk reactions to everything.
