No matter the time of year, there will be events and memes that will spark some wonderful creativity in the world’s netizens. October, when the leaves fall and days get shorter (depending on your hemisphere) is no exception. Add in Halloween and there is always something to talk about.

So we’ve gathered the best posts from X this October, which, let's face it, everyone still calls Tweets. So get comfortable as you scroll through, upvote your favorites and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

A testament to just how far a single good idea can go, Twitter (now X) was, reportedly, conceived in about a day-long brainstorming session. Jack Dorsey, its founder, had the idea for an SMS service in march of 2006, that could send messages to a group of people. By July of the same year, they had a full working version.

After all, Twitter flourished because it really was that symbol, just a 140 character message that anyone could see. It really took off the following year, during the 2007 South by Southwest Interactive (SXSWi) conference. "The Twitter people cleverly placed two 60-inch plasma screens in the conference hallways, exclusively streaming Twitter messages," Steven Levy of Newsweek wrote.

Awww 🥹 I’m a twin and my parents got chickens when we were like 6 years old. Two of the chickens had identical colours so our parents let us name them. I named my chicken after my sister and she named hers after me 😅

I have a delightful, five year old client who just adopted a new kitten. She has named him “Fat Sticks”. (Spoken with an adorable lisp). To be fair, I’ve seen a photo. His legs do look remarkably like short little fat sticks.

So i took a stray to the vet. Diddnt want to get attached, so I just called her Cat. Took her in for her three year checkup and the receptionist inquired about her name. I lied and said " it is short for Miss Katherine, with a K".

Pet names in my house: had a dog named dog along side one named puppy. Cats named momma kitty, boy kitty and gray kitty. We never went and got animals almost every pet we had was a stray that hung out until they lived there so we never really gave them names until it was too late.

I still have a lot of my old stuffed animals and collected them at various points throughout my childhood. The types of names I gave them vary with the age at which I received them...they also serve as reminders that I was a massive freaking nerd.

Growing up we had: a goldfish named Goldfishy; a parakeet named Pretty Boy; and an orange tiger-stripe cat named Tigger. Also, a black cat with white legs named Boots. No, none of these are used as secret question answers.

My neighbors kids named their kitten Fart. He is now an old cat and the kids that named him has grown up and gone away to school, so my neighbor is now a middle aged man living alone with Fart the cat ❤️

I had a chihuahua I named after a baby in Doc McStuffens, you know that kids shoe about the five year old black girl that teaches you healthcare, yeah I did what she did and even exactly quoted the show "what about Mya?" AND IT STUCK, THAT DOG WAS KNOWN AS MYA HER ENTIRE LIFE ALL BECAUSE SIX YEAR OLD ME LOVED DOCTORS (and I still kinda do... almost anything medical and I get slightly excited)

And it gets worse with age. I took up horseback riding at 49, the first month I definitely thought I had leukemia, bubonic plague, leprosy, and a rare butt cancer. Five years later I only suffer from two things at a time, and the horses could probably use more exercise.

It is a mystery to me until today how he got a liver anyway when he was diagnosed with cancer allready. I mean, should he not have been at the very bottom of the list? Pancreatic cancer is as far as i know not the sort of cancer with the best prognosis, so is that not some sort of wasting an organ? Did he have a living person donate for him? Serious question, i can not really understand how that happened.
