Actually, it's more like 80% of us. The people pointing this out usually don't think that they could be in the pool of people being "snapped" out of existence. Of course, Thanos was wrong because he had absolute reality-altering power, therefore he could wish for limitless resources. But then, that's the problem with magical items of unlimited power.
