As technology connects the online world with the real world, Google Street View has become like a modern window to this mix. Launched in 2007, it started with American cities, capturing the first images of streets, landmarks, and neighborhoods. It quickly grew into a global endeavor, mapping streets and landscapes around the world.

Google Street View lets us virtually walk on streets in faraway places, check out charming areas, and even see bits of how people live around the world. It's within these digital wanderings that the team behind "Seen On Maps" has found a treasure trove of hilarity and unexpected moments.

One can stumble upon a lot of hilarious or peculiar incidents on the streets. Thanks to technology, you don’t necessarily need to leave your home to experience them. For example, in 2010, Google Street View captured a man in a horse mask in Aberdeen, Scotland in the Hardgate area of the city. This sparked various online memes and speculations.

Animals interacting with Google Street View cars have also led to some comical moments. There have been instances of curious dogs chasing the camera car, cats lounging on sidewalks, and even a camel wandering the streets of Dubai.

What do you think about these pictures? Have you ever seen something funny on the streets yourself? Every story adds a unique brushstroke to the colorful canvas of everyday life. So don't hesitate to tell yours in the comments and let the streets unfold their tales through your eyes!

This is very similar to one of the adapted trolleys they use at my local supermarket. Only difference is instead of the bike pedals, it has a motor.

Mexico's roads are almost nonexistent, except in big cities. Even then, there's no stop signs or traffic lights. Need to cross an intersection? Good luck. Oh and insurance is *optional*.

I can think of MANY roads in the city I live in (USA) that look like that, or worse because of potholes.

After reading all of these, I really think we have FINALLY found something that unites us all, the lousy state of our roads!

I find the solidarity of all these comments about s****y roads from all over the world kinda heartwarming. Finally something we can all agree on. :)

This street is in my home town. It has since been resurfaced. I really should take a picture. Plenty of holes in the surrounding roads still.

We’ve currently got some road resurfacing going on near our home which is a long, almost perfectly smooth road, instead of fixing the uneven smaller roads nearby. The management of road repairs is really stupid - they have plenty of money but blow it on unnecessary bureaucracy and stupid decisions. Just drive around and fix potholes. Skip all the paperwork for one specific hole. (UK)

This is what a lot of the streets look like after the repair/construction/patching in my town in PA, you would think they’ll come back to re-pave

All Bermuda roads look like this, as they are constantly digging up bits the roads to access burst pipes etc and/or pot holes have formed, so they just fill in the potholes with asphalt!!!

In the US too. They only make the “important” roads look nice. Like the ones around American football stadium, those are important 😒

You haven’t seen a rural road in the US have you. There’s a reason why most of us drive all terrain vehicles 😂

Here, it happens when the region decides to change the pipes and asphalt everything back, then a month later the city comes around because something else needs to be done and then they just patch it up because it's not in their job description. Sometimes it's vice-versa. But you can be sure that if a street is redone, it's going to look this bad a month or two down the road.

Arizona too! When I moved here 15 years ago, I was AMAZED at how well the roads were taken care of. Now, if we have more than 1 glass claim I'm 3 years (because of all the flying rocks), our rates go up and we run the risk of non-renewal
