Created in 2021, "Seen On Maps" has attracted an impressive following of almost 250,000 people, who share a common appreciation for the quirky and surprising moments that unfold in everyday surroundings. From curious animal encounters and peculiar vehicle sightings to spontaneous street performances, the Twitter page has become a digital gallery of the unexpected.
"I PRONOUNCE YOU FIREPAW" "COMMENCE LEADER-APPRENTICE NOSE BOOP!"
As technology connects the online world with the real world, Google Street View has become like a modern window to this mix. Launched in 2007, it started with American cities, capturing the first images of streets, landmarks, and neighborhoods. It quickly grew into a global endeavor, mapping streets and landscapes around the world.
Google Street View lets us virtually walk on streets in faraway places, check out charming areas, and even see bits of how people live around the world. It's within these digital wanderings that the team behind "Seen On Maps" has found a treasure trove of hilarity and unexpected moments.
One can stumble upon a lot of hilarious or peculiar incidents on the streets. Thanks to technology, you don’t necessarily need to leave your home to experience them. For example, in 2010, Google Street View captured a man in a horse mask in Aberdeen, Scotland in the Hardgate area of the city. This sparked various online memes and speculations.
Animals interacting with Google Street View cars have also led to some comical moments. There have been instances of curious dogs chasing the camera car, cats lounging on sidewalks, and even a camel wandering the streets of Dubai.
What do you think about these pictures? Have you ever seen something funny on the streets yourself? Every story adds a unique brushstroke to the colorful canvas of everyday life. So don't hesitate to tell yours in the comments and let the streets unfold their tales through your eyes!
If I drill another hole in the bottom of the boat the water can drain through it.
Out of shot is a representative of North Dakota charging the other way, about to lock horns.
This is very similar to one of the adapted trolleys they use at my local supermarket. Only difference is instead of the bike pedals, it has a motor.
The crash was caused when the car got distracted after it lit the filter end of the cigarette.
Gonna be stating the obvious, but this is photoshopped, not "found on google maps"
No leathers = no skin, *shudder*, but at least he's wearing a helmet ...
He's gonna get hamburgered. Wear leather and a back brace every ride. That expensive jacket that has both will save your life. Cheap leather that's thick and a Velcro back brace is hotter than a t-shirt, but infinitely better than spinal paralysis.
Ugh, I was driving on the backroads and there was a gal on her motorcycle who was on my butt the whole time, so dangerous already. Then when I got in a turn lane she went forward, passed the cars that had been in front of me who were waiting at a red light. Then, she started looking both ways and my heart was so nervous, she CROSSED the intersection on a red light. THEN, I saw her pass several cars that had just turned onto the same road and she almost got hit by oncoming traffic. A crop top, short short denim jeans, shoes tied together by the laces hanging around her neck like headphones. Sometimes I wish I was an undercover cop, the amount of c**p I see on these roads.
He wouldn’t be parallel to the bike if this was actually happening. He would either be under the bike and his leg would look like ground beef, or he would have been thrown over the wide and he’d look like a rag doll.
I caught this. He should be low side, but apparently is high siding. Doesn't make any sense.
Load More Replies...The shadows in the background don’t match the angle of the sun producing the motorcycle shadow.
I do not find these posts funny. When I see people getting hurt I just hurt for them 😭
This dudue is trying to be the physical manifestation of "my bike's more prettier then me " no safety riding gear except the helmet and the goddamm crash bars sure gon keep the paint fresh boss even if you aint here no mo'
"Nahhh! I don't need to wear body protection, what's the worst that could happen?" ....Well, enjoy your stay and the food at the hospital
Oof … I’m legit wincing at the thought of this poor guy’s guaranteed road-rash! I’m just glad he was wearing a helmet, so at least he’s got some common sense. His poor arms & legs, though … owwww. 🫣
If he's lucky, he'll make it to the grass before he hits the ground...or not.
This post is titled wrong. It should be photoshopped things seen on google maps. There is NO way most of these are real.
of course I don't know for sure but, I think more than half of them are "real" but I also think many of them were staged in response to seeing the Google car coming.
Load More Replies...At least half of them are fake, wich makes them a much more less funny 😐
#26 isn't funny. I can't even imagine their injuries (if they're even still alive).

The problem with using "a Twitter page" as a source is half the photos are either staged or photoshopped. It's like all the "according to Reddit" articles on some sites - anyone can post anything to Twitter and Reddit, they should never be used as a source.
why do y'all think posts are fake? (serious q, am autistic. please explain)
