Have you ever wished there was an app on your phone that would save you from drunk texting? Or something that would prevent butt-dialing? Or even something that would decide that the email that you are about to send won’t be featured in an email fails list?

It is safe to say that we've all been in a situation like this. Whether it's because we were inebriated, hit the wrong button, or simply weren't paying enough attention to what we were doing, we've all accidentally made some pretty funny email mistakes.

However, as you can see from this hilarious list of email fails and text mishaps compiled by Bored Panda, there are embarrassing, and then there are mortifying message fails!

From students writing to their teachers while mentally vacationing to prospective employees applying for jobs with pictures of Nicholas Cage instead of their CV, these funny email fails below will make you laugh, but most importantly, they'll make you think twice before you ever hit the 'send' button again.

Wow...considering that you must be really stupid to write this email even when drunk, and that it might be enough to get you expelled, Mr. Martin surely has some humour.

How To Write the Funniest Emails?

While unintentional email fails are always the most hilarious, sometimes you might want to write an intentionally funny email. A bad day at work? Scribe a hilarious letter to your work friend! Caught someone else’s grammar error? Respond with your own intentional letter scramblings and watch the day get better from a dose of laughter.

But how do you compose these funny emails? We have some pointers for you:

Give them a plot twist. If you’re good at storytelling, you can turn any work or personal email into a hilarious story with a completely unexpected plot twist. For instance, start with a casual conversation and end it as if you’re being abducted by aliens. Fun!

Use visual humor. Yes, we’re talking emojis. Those little faces can make any email hilarious, especially if you choose them without any context or at random. Nobody would call that an email fail!

Play with language. Don’t be afraid of puns, wordplays, or even intentional funny email mistakes. After all, these little things are the base of all fun.

But of course, the very best inspiration to create intentional email fails is looking at mishaps that have actually happened to people. Good thing there are still plenty of those on our list!

If those phones existed 50 years ago, this would have been a Monty Python sketch.

'I will not be normal until Thanksgiving turkey' is how I'm introducing myself from now on instead of saying nice to meet you.

What is this thing of parties in the US when the parents are gone? Are you not typically allowed to party? Or is it because of the high legal drinking age?
