My husband and my eldest son are both very tall. I feel extremely short when I stand in the middle. I am 1.70m. They are 30cm taller then me and my son is still growing. I always tease him by saying that we work and pray to get to heaven one day. He just grows there. My youngest son is 13 years old, and just 2cm shorter then me. So guess who's gonna be the short s**t in the house...

Went to a fancy bar in SF with much-shorter male friend----all heads turned and smiled like we were the entertainment. What an absolutely AMAZING sight---tall woman with short man. I didn't like being stared at, but I see from this article that people get used to it and take it in stride. Good attitude.

I don't understand some of the couples and how they manage to stay together, there must be so many challenges. I would think just having to modify the height of the bathroom sink and toilet would be a major problem.

Im 6'2 and im only average here(Dutch), my fiancee is also 6'2 but comes from a tall family(Canadian).

My daughter is a senior in an American university - she's just hit 5'1", her roommate and best friend is 6', and they're both slim and blond. When they go out together, they are often mistaken for mother and daughter, which my daughter plays up for laughs (calls her roomie "mom", etc. ;-) But they both think it's fun).

I got a first cousin that just retired from the army a year or two ago. He was an officer in one of the armoured divisions stationed in Europe. He is 6' 8", which, at the time he went into the Army, was the max height for what he wanted to do. He told me once that it was down right funny to see the jaw dropping expressions on the faces of European civilians when they saw him get out of a car, in particular a small Fiat or Mini Cooper.

What I don't get is why tall women need to wear high heels? Sure it may be for the looks but why would you make your life more difficult?

In elementary school (4th 5th and 6th grade to specific) I was REALLY REALLY short (and still am). I was best friends with the tallest kid in the school.

these are so funny! I loved how their heights did not affect their relationships at all! as a thirteen-year-old girl who's 5 foot 6 inches, I can relate! :D
