Michael Pederson's quirky street art is so subtle that it's easy to walk past it without even knowing it's there. But that's the beauty of his work.
The Sydney-based creative encourages people to take a closer look at their streets and neighborhoods, because as you can see, their seemingly familiar surroundings might just be hiding a funny and unexpected surprise. From amusing signs that "curate the mundane" to interactive public installations, Pederson's urban antics are sure to draw smiles from anybody perceptive enough to notice them. “I think we travel through urban space without really seeing it most of the time,” Pederson told CityLab. “I like the idea of interfering with the overly familiar background blur … Ideally with something a passerby might see out of the corner of an eye.”
