Theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking was one of the greatest and most intelligent people that ever lived, and as everyone mourns the loss of this incredible scientist, it's time to remember not only his scientific achievements but his humor and the best jokes that come along with it.
In the documentary 'Stephen Hawking: A Brief History of Mine' the scientist stated that smart jokes would always have a significant role in his life. This mindset helped him overcome the struggles he faced when he was diagnosed with degenerative motor neuron disease in 1963.
Hawking passed away on March 14th, and the media was flooded with tributes to the honorary scientist. "The Simpsons" executive producer-writer Al Jean went on social media to post his thoughts saying, “A sense of humor as vast as the universe,” touching on the lighthearted way the physicist was able to see the world.
Stephen Hawking quotes are usually quite deep, investigating the meaning of life, the Universe and motivations to live. His funny jokes touch the same subjects but in such a manner that even the most prominent skeptic gives in to a laugh.

This was the dialectal equivalent of using a flamethrower. Priceless.

A good sense of humour helps you live both better and longer, and it probably has the same effect on the people around us. Stephen Hawkings was a hero to most of us. He was a boon to mankind.

I loved this episode! Until this scene, I wasn't sure if he was actually going to make an appearance or if it would be a behind-closed-door thing.

RIP Stephen Hawking…we will all remember you and pass on your wisdom, humor and legacy…you will not be forgotten.
RIP Hawkings... You showed that no matter who you are, you can do amazing things... You were an inspiration to this world! <3
wasn't expecting this and I spit up my tea from laughing. you owe me some paper towels.
Load More Replies...Please, don't overrate this man so much. He wouldn't have liked it. When someone is severely chronically ill, they can only survive because of their wit and humour. There are so many Stephen Hawkings living around you that you just don't recognize as such at this moment. But, go, have a look around, explore and discover your alternate universes and its inhabitants just around your corner. If asked, Stephen Hawking would be the first to admit he is not a "singularity", there are many like him if you would open your eyes and see them.
It absolutely KILLS me how people act like it is MIRACULOUS that he had a sense of humor. WHAT?!?! The disease didnt KILL his sense of humor?!?! THE HELL YOU SAY!!!
A brave and wonderful man and one heck of a good sport! He handled an incredibly cruel twist of fate with grace and humor.
I don't mean to be disrespectful. He was brilliant. But he should have stayed away from talking about climate change. He wasn't a climate scientist, and no more of an authority on it than I am. He might have done a bit of harm. Does anyone know how he was mentored or how he ended up doing what he's doing? Because I know some brilliant people who might have contributed to world knowledge, but were never recognized by teachers or anyone, never nurtured. Was his talent nurtured by someone in the early years?
Please send me a link to the video or any article saying that Hawking said that.
Load More Replies...How hard is it to spell out one, two, and four? If you want to insult a man who was smarter than you even at age five, at least present yourself intelligently. Let's hope there's not a parallel universe where you're more of an idiot, because space can only handle so much idiocy.
Load More Replies...Are you seriously going to give on of the best scientist of all time, s**t that he's a white male? How stupid do you have to be? I agree with hope floats you're a complete and utter idiot and just shut up.
Load More Replies...*Eye-roll* I don't even know where to start at insulting you, so I'll let you keep insulting yourself.
