This is actually a safe and normal way of doing this

In their defense, there is no convenient way to get the scissorlift into or out of the pool once it was emptied. That float looks pretty stable as long as they lower the lift when they move it around in the pool.

I would honestly do this even knowing the consequences

Now 2 questions. How did they get this on the platform and keep it from falling over into the pool? Even with the straps holding it up, it's likely to tip over. #2 How the hell do they get it OUT of the pool when done?
