My wife. When she wants her dog to go outside in the yard she asks nicely, and says please, and then doesn't seem to understand when he ignores her and just lies there. He knows what she wants, he just doesn't feel like he needs to obey her.

I am talking pretty much to her. Nowadays, she is not as much interested as a few years ago when she was a puppy. She would look at me while talking, tilting her head and being so adorable! Today, she is a young lady and she has learned to talk with me. Walking nervously to the front door and back to me means 'I need to poop urgently.' . You learn that quickly.

When I read this, I turned around to my cat and asked her if anybody else talks to animals like they're going to respond and she told me, "Meow."

Yup, my wife constantly because I rarely respond-- just kidding.

He does respond, he says “mrrp”.

I have talk to 6 dogs, 2 cats,2 budgies and many rats and hamsters, and have talked to all of them as if they understand
