The ability to tell the entire world what you feel or think is dizzying. 'How should I phrase this?' 'Do I include that?' 'Is this oversharing?' So many doubts are lurking around that share button.

But believe it or not, some people are immune to them. They post every thought that crosses their mind. And they can be anyone! Parents complaining about their kids, high schoolers "analyzing" political discourse, celebrities interacting with fans, or everyday folks venting about their lives; we can't keep count.

Here's a collection of tweets from people who decided to get personal online. Too personal!

It is really sad that the asian community was targeted because of Covid. I really dont get people. That said most people wont be able to distinguish between the Thai and Cantonese languages by hearing them just because they wont hear any difference. Just a foreign language. Same with any pair of uncommon foreign languages.

They weren’t targeted because of covid. They were targeted because of the lingering orange fart who spent 4 years drumming up hate and discord.

America is a big country. Some people have never heard Thai or Chinese spoken. I can tell Vietnamese from Chinese from Japanese, because I have friends from each background. But since t do not have Thai friends, I would not recognize it when spoken. Lack of experience does not equal racism.

That is very true. I think his point is that the people who are racist would hear an "Asian foreign language" and simultaneously shove their head up their a**e while sticking their foot in their mouth. Flexible buggers, those racists are.

One girl was attacked by an elder man because she is Asian in the beginning of all Covid chaos where I live. It was a bit scary to go outside but not much scarier then before and that thought was a scary revelation for me. The fact that one is never safe and it's always been more or less uncomfortable and potentially dangerous to look different. And I always tried to laugh it off and this got more difficult now

I an married for 15 years to a man who is half Vietnamese. He can pass for Hispanic, and I had to tell him to tell strangers who ask what his nationality is to tell them Spanish. This is for his protection from the crazy people. My kids can pass for full white, so no one suspects they are mixed. It's so sad that this is our current reality

Honestly , in the US Asian culture has become really popular . A lot of kids are learning Asian languages in school now too. When I was in school ( loooooooong time ago) we had the choice of Spanish, French or Chinese . Nobody ever took Chinese. I've always been really intimidated by learning an Asian language. They're so complex and beautiful . FYI , my dumb self too French... which has been super useful in Texas lmfao . O'well , I've learned Spanish since then

There are over 6000 languages today, so if you are not exposed to these languages or not a linguist, you will hardly differentiate them. Just like I'm sure OP will not differentiate Lithuanian from Hungarian.

Same racists think they are speaking Spanish if they add an O to the end of every word and yell it. I'm embarrassed having people like your mom even having to worry about. I hope she doesn't think we all think alike. I tried to ask a question In Greek when I was there. Did pretty sell did the girls behind the counter in a pharmacy laughed as I left. I guess farming sounds pretty funny in any language and I had a killer sore throat.

Yes. Those particular folks have a great deal of trouble with English. They especially have trouble with the word "acceptance". In my previous job I worked in a hospital that was in a huge Asian multicultural community. If you had racism issues this is definitely not the place for you! We, patients and staff, had a lot of fun together when learning words, short sentences, and culture. Great laughs. But also, so sadly, the different approaches to death, care in the immediate time proceeding and after death. Many times we did not understand different things. But we RESPECTED IT AND DID EVERYTHING TO THE LETTER. Acceptance and respect. I dont understand why that is so difficult.

A good friend of mine is Thai and we waited tables together, the number of people who though she was Chinese was unbelievable. They would just assume. People would say the rudest things to her all the time... It was a breakfast and lunch place so it's not like alcohol had any part in it. Even if she was Chinese, it's still so offensive just assume somebody is from a certain country, if you're generally curious it's better to just ask politely then make assumptions.

No, paradoxically that's one area where hate doesn't discriminate. Although at the other pole, love comes stronger to those who offer their friends Thai sticks more than Mandarin Oranges.

The staff at CollegeGrad, an entry-level job site for college students and recent grads, believe there are at least 9 things you should never post on social media.

1. Profanity. The language you use on social media is often the same one you'll use when casually interacting with coworkers. A minor four-letter-word once in a while isn't a crime, but if swearing is a big part of who you are, it may affect how employers look at you.

2. Abusive content. Social media can be a great place to share opinions, but if your feed is full of arguments and rants, you may come across as an overly negative person, probably not the kind of employee companies want in their office.

3. Adult content. A snapshot on the beach is perfectly fine but posting explicit photos of yourself can have a noticeable impact on your image. The Internet is a public place. So, before posting a selfie, consider if you are OK with being seen like that in the office.

I Love That Life Makes Sense For Him Now

I Love That Life Makes Sense For Him Now

IanMcKellen Report

4. Illegal content. Not only could this get you fired, but it may also land you on America's Stupidest Criminals. Even worse, you could be arrested if authorities see credible evidence of certain kinds of illegal activity.

5. Offensive content. Racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination should have no place in your (online) life.

6. Negative opinions about your job, employer, boss, or professor. One comment about how you hate your job could cause future employers to wonder if you really like the work you are doing or not. And a comment about your "stupid boss" could make your next conversation about the raise you were hoping to get a lot more difficult.

7. Drug-related content. Some employers may require you to pass a drug test as a hiring condition. But chances are you won't even make it that far if you post about substances publicly.

8. Poor grammar. A comma here and there is nothing but if you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're", it's time to learn. Communication, including writing, is an important part of professional life.

9. Threats. It is not OK to threaten others, no matter the situation you're in. Wishing someone ill, whether it is a friend, family member, colleague, politician, celebrity, whatever; if you don't like someone else, social media is not the place to be hurling threats of any kind.

The Internet is public. Remember that when you're posting from your personal account.

Why is your political affiliation so important to Americans? Are there no people that just don't like any of them? That think, I'll listen to what they say and vote for the person that seems to have the best ideas to me? Nobody that thinks, 'I agree with the Dems on that subject, but disagree with the other thing. And I like the Reps idea on this, but not on that'?
