It sounds like maybe it wasn’t inserted properly past your vag muscles. If you continue on up the canal aiming towards the small of your back rather than ‘upwards’, it should get to a comfy place where you genuinely can’t feel it anymore—something that could never be said about sanitary towels. It seems there aren’t too many nerve endings in the birth canal, for obvious reasons. Apparently that explains the positioning of the clitoris, but that’s a whole other post. Good luck.
