Ordinary Doodles: 30 Relatable, Frustrating Situations Turned Into Hilarious Comics By This Artist
Interview With ArtistLife is the best comedian, and Ordinary Doodles, a comics account, is proof of this.
The artist behind the cartoons shared that his “work revolves around things you observe in your day-to-day life,” which he turns into hilarious, over-the-top doodles that also borrow from the style of anime. The beauty of Ordinary Doodles lies in its simplicity and relatability. Each comic explores frustrations we all experience and gives them a new outlook of ease and laughter.
So, if you need a daily dose of humor that hits close to home, Ordinary Doodles might become your go-to comic.

In an interview with Bored Panda, the artist behind Ordinary Doodles shared more about his background.
“I am Ordinary Doodles, and I make comics on what I observe around myself. Life is funny in its own way, and you’d be surprised by how people relate to each aspect of it if you just observe. I sketch and game as a hobby, definitely struggling through both, but it’s fun! Day-to-day life goes by in project management at a consulting firm, and what better way to decompress than doing things you enjoy.”
The artist also shared what initially drew him to the world of cartooning.
“I’ve been into sketching since I was a kid, drawn by anime and filling up my sketchbooks with anime characters. My mom is into all sorts of sketching/painting, I think most of my inspiration comes from her. During college, I came across a comic page that drew [from] Indian culture. That got me thinking about making something [from] what I see around myself and the situations I go through. Funny how people relate to things that you believe are only happening around you…”
However, no art comes without struggle, as the artist wrote his biggest challenges regarding comic making: “I try to keep it simple (something I would say to completely hide the fact that I struggle with colors). You will notice that my character wears a red shirt and blue pants. It’s just to show how color combination is not my strongest area, and I can’t match my outfits in real life as well… Real pain…”
I get sent out in the rain every time for this so I never get a chance to enjoy the weather
We asked the artist to tell us about his creative process and how he comes up with ideas.
He responded: “It really is all about observation. You come across random situations throughout the day. You might remember something your friend might have said a long time ago, [so] take that, build on it, and you will eventually find something. If I stress too much [about] creating a comic, then it takes away the whole essence of enjoying the process.”
It's good to know that people across the world do this! XD Proof that we are all the same humans underneath, regardless of skin color/culture!
Lastly, the artist shared his hope that the audience takes away meaningful insights from the comics.
“You will definitely find something relatable that you see around in your day-to-day life. You are not alone. People around you are living through the same awkward situations. Share the fun, and let’s cry about it together.”
