Other countries misspell, and mispronounce English words all the time. Americans get mad because everyone acts like Americans are the only ones who do it. I help relocated immigrants in my area. Even if they speak English, they are going to say, or spell, some words wrong. I always assure them that it's not a big deal. When Americans try to learn things from other nations, the rest of the world shits on them; that's why they get butthurt.

I live in Italy. Generally speaking, Italians are oblivious to the existence of other countries. And their pronunciation of English is horrible. And I don't think too many Europeans realize how big the US is.

Pronouncing the words phonetically isn't the issue here. The issue is applying correct spelling to a word that is rarely if ever seen in writing by most Americans. But yeah, they're the butthurt ones.
