To paraphrase Aristotle, we as human beings can achieve happiness by perfecting our natures. That means embracing and refining who we really are inside. And it sounds like great advice for every living thing, not just people. However, one silly horse is too busy horsing around and probably forgot to go to its Philosophy 101 classes.
A dramatic horse named Jingang has greater ambitions than being a mere steed. It doesn’t seem to appreciate being ridden by others as a horse should. Instead, it goes out of its way to avoid doing its job. Jingang the horse pretends to be ‘dead’ in an overly-theatrical way. It’s silly. It’s funny. And it’s proof that some animals would rather laze about than earn their carrots like we do — by the sweat of our brows.

More than 82,000 people liked Frasisco Zalasar’s compilation video showing the horse avoiding its ‘chores’ by dramatically ‘dying.’ The viral video was also shared a massive 630,000 times. Huge numbers like these suggest that people relate to Jingang’s antics. Especially on Mondays.

Most of us don’t spend all day long thinking about horses, which is why it’s easy to miss what incredible creatures they are. Double ‘D’ Trailers collected some fun and unusual facts about our equine friends, so get ready for a ride.

For example, did you know that horses can run within several hours of being born? To me, that is absolutely fascinating. Imagine if human beings could do that.

The next time you see a horse ‘laughing,’ tell your friends that the animal is actually doing a nose-enhancing technique (called ‘flehmen’), which helps understand whether a smell is good or bad.

Furthermore, horses aren’t colorblind like people used to believe a long time ago; however, they see purples and violets better than greens and yellows.

And if you’re ever in doubt whether a steed is male or female, look the gift horse in the mouth: if it has 40 teeth it’s male, and if it has 36 teeth it’s female. Arm yourself with these fun facts and go impress your friends.
