JimSteve, in 'murica there are now a great number of right-wing christian conservatives that are pushing their religious beliefs on others, and "demand" we act christian and folks are getting elected ot office to put s**t into laws that we have to obey.

When I was in (public) high school, they did the recitation of the pledge every morning. I didn't even pretend to participate, because it was pretty much a prayer as far as I could tell.

nottheactualphoto, "under god" was not originally in the pledge of allegiance. It was forced into it by some people. Now they are just trying harder and harder to make their idea of christianity go everywhere.

using our tax dollars for religious schools should be illegal. Our government should not be favoring one religion over another. And using public funds to teach in religious schools takes money from actual public schools that are in dire need of more funds. I don't have children, but I don't mind my tax dollars going to public schools. Our children are the future, and I don't want to pay to bring up more christians to push their beliefs and laws onto non-christians.

I'm English and all of my kids attended CofE primary schools as they were the only schools nearby. None of them grew up to follow the religion.

Same with Quebec (Canada) but the only free religious school is the Catholic one; I sent my children to English school and it was Protestant, which is what I wanted → it included Jewish, Jehova's Witnesses, Seventh-Day Adventists, Baptists, etc.

Aromantic is not (or rarely) feeling romantic attraction, while asexual is not (or rarely) feeling sexual attraction, and is not the same as celibacy. Also lesbian is a very common term??? Yknow, gay girls. Girls liking girls.

I believe there is no deity. Christians and muslims f. e. only believe in one deity and deny the existence of any of the other many many deities. Like you really want to claim that I and my fellow atheists are the "aggressive" ones here?🤣🤣🤣

JimSteve, not all Atheists are aggressive. The only time we push is when we push back against the christians trying to push their beliefs and laws onto us. Otherwise, we just go about our business not proseltizing.
