To give some more information on the procedure: He is given the medicine in a closed room and has to lick both saucer and spoon sufficently clean before he's let out again (it's held in front of his nose until deemed acceptable). After all, he has to ingest the whole dose . Also, it doesn't HAVE to be cat pudding, it just should be something that a) has a creamy consistency allowing it to be mixed well with the medicine and b) is something the cat likes.

My cat has a couple ailments and you can’t always count on the proper doses crushing pills and mixing with food. Sometimes it’s imperative that pills be pushed in whole pill form. We just weened him down from the one pill twice a day! He is also on powdered mirilax daily which is mixed with with Friskys Cat milk because it does not need to be as exact. But some days even that he won’t drink. Luckily his sister hasn’t needed many pills and when she has we’ve been able to crush them and mix with milk and she cleans her dish!

@Christina Steele: It's a cat treat with a creamy consistency, like custard. Google will give you a few varieties, but I don't know what kinds are available in your specific country.
