Graduation is just around the corner for many, and with it, the donning of the traditional cap-and-gown that is the uniform of a soon to be university graduate. But whence did this odd form of dress originate? you might ask. The graduation cap, or mortarboard, is believed to have evolved from the biretta, a hat worn by the Roman Catholic clergy.

LMAO... unless this is high school graduation, there isn't much "Mom" can do about it. I do admire the non-confrontational way of making the announcement though! --------------------- Kind of like telling your parents you have a fatal illness, then when they are at the height of despair, you say, "I'm just kidding - actually, I'm just pregnant." Then, you best run... FAST!!

I do hope that was an intentional spelling "mistake" ("wined" as in drank vs "whined" as in complained). If not, please tell me which college this was, so I can be sure my son never goes there!!
