Graduation is just around the corner for many, and with it, the donning of the traditional cap-and-gown that is the uniform of a soon to be university graduate. But whence did this odd form of dress originate? you might ask. The graduation cap, or mortarboard, is believed to have evolved from the biretta, a hat worn by the Roman Catholic clergy.
Bored Panda has put together this list of funny graduation caps for you, soon to be former students, to help stave off the inevitable malaise that accompanies joining the workforce. Which hat do you find the funniest? Vote on your favourite, or submit your own funny graduation cap pictures! (h/t)

Does anyone know where I can find this grad cap? I want to use it for mine.
Can qnyone please tell me who made this? I'd like to ask them how they did it amd I'd like to use this for my grad cap.
Wow.. the artwork alone is fantastic. She's going far in life, for sure!!
LMAO... unless this is high school graduation, there isn't much "Mom" can do about it. I do admire the non-confrontational way of making the announcement though! --------------------- Kind of like telling your parents you have a fatal illness, then when they are at the height of despair, you say, "I'm just kidding - actually, I'm just pregnant." Then, you best run... FAST!!
LOL - this one is brilliant (and no, it's not a spelling mistake). This one will go far!!
Because I’m very sure they needed your validation
Load More Replies...Oh Maureen they are lyrics from a song hun so the grammar is intentional
Load More Replies...Just wait until you get your first job in your chosen field of study... then you'll REALLY know how much they did NOT teach you!!
I do hope that was an intentional spelling "mistake" ("wined" as in drank vs "whined" as in complained). If not, please tell me which college this was, so I can be sure my son never goes there!!
i mean... there are clearly wine glasses and bottles all around the text soooo....
Load More Replies...Wow, awesome artwork, deep thoughts, and Tigger too!! This one will go far in life!!
Now THAT is a version of Tigger I have never seen. But now that I am thinking about it that very vaguely reminds me of the comic Calvin and Hobbes. Idk tho it’s very vague
Load More Replies...God forbid anyone struggles to graduate Maureen
Load More Replies...The girl under the cap is not 72 with that hair.... and I guess they never taught spelling
She may have dyed her hair, and the spelling is because it's a slang term. Then again, perhaps the actual graduate couldn't make the trip (at 72, she may be sick or something), and it could be a grandchild walking for her. You never know!!
Load More Replies...Do you think she would be lying about being poor?
Load More Replies...Better be careful - she may have one of her dragons burn down the university, with all the administrators inside!!
Again with the praying hands.... maybe these folks should've slowed down a bit?
Considering the praying hands, that may not be all they were missing!!
Load More Replies...Had to be a Frozen reference in here somewhere... at least it's not too cheesy though!
Omg I going to that school this year!!!! How cool, I never thought a school from where I'm from would be in this list!!! Awesome!!!
