Wholesome Genie Makes Wishes Come True, But He Does It With A Twist

Vietnamese Artist Semi Imes loves to draw, creating breathtakingly beautiful pieces in his own bold and unique way. However sometimes, just for fun, he makes ‘funny comics‘ based on a wise and generous genie, and these cartoon drawings are proving to be a huge hit for their simplicity and wholesome message.

Seems like Semi can do pretty much anything illustration-wise, a look at his pages show a variety of genres and drawing styles, from anime to fan art. “I do both traditional and digital artwork, but in general, I do more digital illustration since I’m a bit lazy with setting up a workspace for traditional art,” he told Bored Panda. “These drawing ideas started out as a hobby but nowadays I do freelance illustrations, character designs, and sometimes tattoo designs for clients.”

But for now, we are loving the webcomics! It’s not the first time he has tried his hand at comic strips like this. “I actually make a lot of mini-comics, but they’re scattered across the world wide web and you will have to dig them up like some godforsaken relic,” he with a laugh. “As for my sense of humor, I honestly don’t have a good answer. Sarcastic pessimism is the genre for most of my funny drawings, but once in a while I churn out a reasonable comic that gives people a sensible chuckle.” This is definitely one of those times!
