Ah, the world of high fashion. Elitist, pretentious and ridiculously out of touch to your average person, some of the creations fashion houses come out with, presumably while enthusiastically sniffing their own farts, are just too easy to make fun of.
We here at Bored Panda have collected a fun list of memes around the world of fashion that do precisely that, because when you strip away all the glitz and glamor, following 'trends' that someone made up in a boardroom somewhere is a bit silly, isn't it?
Scroll down to check out the list for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Maybe his grandma knitted the scarf for him and she remembered him bigger than he actually is, but he still had to wear it so as not to make her sad.
What's the point of pants when they don't even cover your legs?
Load More Replies...Eh. I like ripped jeans, provides some ventilation. I personally draw the line at the 3rd girl.
She's the only ripped that's not horrible, as there's no skin jumping through the holes
Load More Replies...Hears the deal: You have 2 choices. Go to a high end boutique and spend $200. Or, go to Goodwill and spend $5.
If I tried to where jeans like that, I'd been putting my foot through all the holes and soon they'll just be denim shorts.
Young people following fashion, nothing new, nothing to be scolded for.
went shopping for jeans a few years ago--seriously could not find any that were rip-less! i don't mind the style so much as i mind that i'm paying for less material! and i'm old-fashioned enough that if my jeans have rips, i earn that s**t!
Yah know, on the last person, those jeans really ACCENT the holes.... I like how the holes ACCENT the jeans in the second one
As my granddad always said; when I was young women needed a sheep to get decently dressed, nowadays they only need a silkworm.
I hate these. I don't get it. Why do you want to be selectively cold and/or exposed to the sun?
Now now Pandas! Don´t be harsh. A little empathy for these girsl waiting at the ER after being attacked by a bear.
I never really could understand jeans that were bought ripped. What if you fall somehow and scrape your knee?
Isn't that the same case if you wear shorts or above the knee skirts, people will scrape their knees if they fall but they'll still wear them
Load More Replies...Then you see the teenagers wandering around in their pants full of holes freezing in the winter with no protection underneath and then you laugh at their stupidity...
The dumbest looking trend at this time. Even worse when you see 60 yr old women wearing these. Remember when holes in your clothes represented poverty?
A visual representation of cost of living increases vs wages. Those poor girls can't afford new jeans obviously lol
The last time I was on an overseas flight, it seemed that every other man under age 40 was wearing a version of that 2005 scarf.
While I think everyone should wear what he or she wants, I find it hard to comprehend why anyone would accept a lack in functionality for a gain in style.
I think sometimes the lack in functionality is okay to gain in style (like wearing things for really fancy events where you just stand around all day) but for everyday usage most of these seem crazy
Load More Replies...My casual clothes have been the same since jr high, T-shirt's and comfy jeans, though the fit of both of have improved over the years, and most of my shirts are funnier now
Same for me, except all my clothing is now a larger size :/
Load More Replies...Fashion like this is purely art, it's not for wearing in real life, obviously, it's no different to an art installation, a sculpture or a painting whatever. Some it is fully wacky mate.
If it's purely art and not meant to be worn, why call it fashion, it's not. How about wearable art.
Load More Replies...A lot of this is just avant garde type clothing, so of course no one is going to wear this stuff in public because it would look ridiculous. Avant Garde is used for fashion designers to express themselves, even if it looks really weird but they are artists and very talented ones at that.
I totally get the part that art plays in fashion. Some of the outfits were artfully interesting, but wearing a blowup pool is neither art nor fashion.
Load More Replies...I want to cry for all of those models being humilated and still thinking they're "something"
It's too much fun. I can't stop my laughter. https://www.topsandbottomsusa.com/collections/adidas
I just don't understand the runway fashions that you see... just why? and people clamor to be there for these shows. It is funny about the cod piece though
I think its time to advise all this "fashion" designer not to use so much LSD, just a free advise, and don't put it in the drink before the catwalk start to the public
So my understanding is that the goal is to make stuff look as ridiculous as possible?
