Zach learned to draw all by himself at school when he was supposed to be learning. "I spent 17 years of my life in public school and in college learning nothing except how to doodle. If these comics didn't pan out, my entire life would have been completely wasted," the artist revealed to Bored Panda.

We got curious about how Zach came up with his Instagram name. The artist revealed that he thought of the title "Extra Fabulous Comics" as a joke because his comics "were the worst things his hands had ever touched" in the beginning. The name has since become an ideal that Zach will always pursue, but may never attain.

We asked Zach about the most challenging and the most rewarding part of the creative process. The artist shared that he had a hard time learning the flow of his creative rhythm, "finding which part of the day where his brain is the right amount of awake and caffeinated." For Zach, that is around 1 pm when he's "post-poop, pre-lunch, and had a long walk where no teenagers made fun of his male-pattern baldness."

According to the artist, about 95% of the inspiration comes from just the process of drawing. "Sitting down, inventing a situation, and letting it play out as you draw, often results in the worst and most cringe thing you or anyone else has ever seen. But very seldomly magic happens, and you make something worth sharing!"

We asked Zach about some upcoming projects of his. The artist replied that currently, he's 'recovering' from a Kickstarter for two comic books and a game that he made with Skybound. "I have plans to do more animations and focus more on my other comics, 'Deogie' and 'Pervis'. I also want to get a commercial coffee roaster and buy some land and start a bamboo farm."

For those who are still reading, Zach wants to thank you for looking at these comics!
