Today Our Cat Gave Birth To 4 Kittens, And Her Blissful, Exhausted Face While Hugging Her Baby Is One Of The Most Beautiful Things I've Seen
Similar to humans, maternal instincts are strong among animals like sloth bears. According to the India-based non-profit organization Wildlife SOS, sloth bears carry their cubs all day until age two.
Leopards are the same way. They are very protective of their younglings, who depend on their mothers for basic needs like food, protection, and shelter for the first couple of years of their lives.

The Joy On The Baby's Face
I once met a fox cub late at night who had clearly snuck out after mum had gone out hunting. I went and got him a big bit of steak and he snatched it and toddled off toward the den. It was pretty cool
Biparental care likewise exists in the animal kingdom, but the roles are sometimes reversed. For water birds like jacanas, the male does most of the work, which includes protecting their territory, looking for food, and teaching their younglings survival skills.
The female, meanwhile, has several mates and is not at all involved in raising their offspring.

It’s almost a similar case with emperor penguins. The fathers usually gather food and teach their young to survive harsh weather conditions. The mothers leave the colony to allow their male counterparts to keep the eggs warm.
The division of parental labor among barn owls is more similar to that of humans. The males are hunter-gatherers, while the females nurture and incubate the eggs.

Baby Lamb
Not a cute little lamb farting a cloud of smoke, as I first thought, at all.
Alloparenting also happens between animals. Female elephants, being matriarchal in nature, usually become foster parents to newcomers.
Similarly, rhesus macaque monkeys form social bonds with each other and can quickly build familial relationships with orphaned babies.

Spay and neuter your pets, people. Giving birth is no fun, and the shelters are full to the brim.
Yes!!!!! Kitties, and puppies, and chicks, and calves, and just yay! 😊
Our little one will never have puppies, but I love to see those precious little moments.
I wonder what will happen to all the cute cat and dog litters when they’re grown up and not so ”adorable melting my heart“ anymore…
What a lovely article! Kittens, puppies, chicks, calves, I love you all! ❤️. Well done, Bored Panda.

Load More Replies...I have a rescue cat, was told that she had, had a least one litter. She is spayed, and I am glad that I don't have to worry about little ones, but I would have left bed to see her babies
Congrats! :) What is your kitty's name? <3 I have two cats myself, a black cat named Kohl who is 8 years old and a black-and-white tuxedo named Preacher, who is 3 years old. I had a gray cat named Wintressia who lived to be 19 years old (almost 20.) May you have many more happy years with your cat!
Load More Replies...I commented about need to spay or neuter but also the cute farm babies, farmers don't keep the males yes they are cute but tasty also.
Having worked in an animal shelter, it makes me sad to see all these cats and dogs with babies. So many never make it, or end up in shelters, just to be euthanized. They don't need to have babies to live a full life. Spay and neuter your pets!
No mutts in sight. All pure breeds. Nothing cute about morons breading for the sale of puppies. These dogs will be bread to death and then tossed away when they are no longer useful.
Are you serious? THAT'S your takeaway from this? BTW - I went back and counted. There are 29 pics of cats/kittens. THREE of those 29 are purebreds (two British Shorthairs, one Bengal.) And at least 5 of the pics of dogs/puppies aren't purebred dogs. These aren't "all pure breeds". Oh, and - I'm not normally a pedant, but learn to spell the words "bred" and "breeding" if you're going to shít all over people who breed/purchase purebred animals. As an aside, people are ALLOWED to buy purebred dogs if they want to. Morally I think breeding brachycephalic dogs is wrong - but normal, healthy purebred dogs? Fúck you for giving me indirect shít for that. I have four pets: two moggie cats, one GSD mutt, and one purebred Belgian Malinois. I'm not a bad person or a "moron" for wanting - and purchasing - ONE purebred dog.
