Special occasions call for a special kind of photographer, and few occasions are more special than your wedding day. You do, after all, only get one of them (well, that's the idea anyway) and so the photographer needs to capture anything and everything as perfectly as possible in order to preserve your perfect day. It's a big responsibility, and as you can see, some people take that responsibility very seriously indeed! Compiled by Bored Panda, this behind-the-scenes look at the world of wedding photography reveals the hard work and dedication that goes into taking the perfect wedding picture.

Being a photographer's assistant isn't all its CRACKED up to be hehehe
Nope. Not taking my gajillion dollar camera into the surf. Unless the couple is paying for its replacement!
Some of these people must have serious money to go getting their wedding dress all wet in ponds, lakes and ocean surf.
Well am guessing the bride removed her mask briefly for the final shot once set up.
You can tell this shot was an awesome one. But I sure do wish we could see the final one.
Chairs, ledges, very little escapes the "I need height for the shot" list that we photographer will climb up.
This bouquet has its own photographers, and I can't even get a text back
This is probably a pretty shot. Notice how at least one of the bridesmaids is holding her dress tight....no peeking....lol. ; )
I notice the majority of these couples are Asian. I wonder if having outlandish wedding photos is a cultural phenomenon of one nationality. I'm thinking some of them are from Singapore or Japan.
It looks pretty large, it may have been a natural disaster that is being fixed behind them. And maybe they were trying to get as close as possible to a certain site that held a special meaning for them.
Bet this one turned out great too. Apparently to see any finished wedding photos I'll have to google "Wedding photos".
Never considered using incense for smoke before.... Bet it's cheaper than smoke bombs too!
Considering the other photographers' extreme poses, I would never choose to wear white as a photographer :D
I love this. I was never filthier than when I was doing photography. I love that this series shows what lengths a good photographer will go to in order to get that one sweet shot that just would not happen otherwise.
I'm a wedding photographer in Western Australia. I've smashed my shin on a barely visible bench at dawn once (and jumped over it somehow so save myself), stood on bins, fences and wobbly tables, climbed trees, walked barefoot on sharp rocks and many more... Lying on the ground is softcore ;) I'll do whatever it takes to get a great shot :)
God, I hope none of these couples get divorced, their photographers will kill them!
Or the phototographer gets two new clients when they re-marry.
Load More Replies...These photos just go to show that good wedding photographers will go to great lengths to make sure their clients get the shots they deserve! There are some great photos above. For more great wedding photos check out www.GrandLensPhotography.com
I love how staged and fake these are not to be a pessimist but looks like all you need is a puddle somewhere and you can take wedding photos lol
a puddle, a couple of grand's worth of gear a little training and a buttload of experience
Load More Replies...I've had to double check - but my sisters wedding is #1. I've just showed her this post and she can't believe it. They are still just as happy as they appear in the picture.
Stunning wedding images and thanks to the photographers for their efforts.

Hard Work? Really!? Photography is not hard work. Framing a house, digging for coal , running a marathon is hard work. Cliche photography anyway. Corn ball stuff. Nice but corn ball.
with the possible exeption of the cliff the rest are rather standard through out the photography spectrum
how to be a crackerjack wedding photographer: 1. get low down on the ground, preferably in mud or something unpleasant. 2. Climb up something tall. Bonus points for hanging precariously over a precipice.
I can't believe how many brides are willing to get their dresses soaked 😱
Love the pictures they turned out mad.. How much for one of these guys for a he and do they only do wedding photos
This is how we photographers work. We're lying in the mud, climbing the trees, standing on the edge of a cliff, just to get the perfect picture :)
It could have been captured using a low tripod tethered to a computer screen. Just notice the actual scene, he has shot himself !
Some of the pictures looked awesome. I admire the length that photographers are willing to go to get that perfect shot. That being said, I wish we saw more of the "after" photos. Having started this list with seeing the "results" photos then not showing any more was disappointing. They shouldn't have even been here.
Totally agree with you there. I was hoping to see the shot that was created by the odd looking positioning of the couples or the photographer themselves
Load More Replies...How come most of these look like asian photographers and bride and groom? Is it just asians that are that "crazy" to do that type of photography? lol
Hmmm just wandering about how come so many of them are Asian ????????????
Some actions show good work of photographers. The rest dont make them look crazy at all.
