No, it shows what proper lighting will do to change an image. If he had only used the ambient light it would look roughly the same as the before picture. Using different light allows for different exposures to be achieved. I'm willing to bet that this image was created 99% in camera.

It's not all altering, eg. for this one there's a filter on the lens that softens the harsh daylight so you can see the clouds etc, without it the dress and overcast sky would merge into one.

So much evil altering! All the ducks and dolphins added into the water! It's a disgrace. ..... Get a grip and educate yourself on photography, light, filters... duh.

What altering... it's simply use of lighting... Added flash allowed use of lower exposure on ambient...simple as that.

no, it just shows a good photographer who has a good understanding of light and dealing with contrast. There is not a lot of altering in the image. He got skills!

Not that much done in Photoshop to this image. Most is done in camera. About the only thing done to this in Photoshop is some dodge and burn and colour garding. Both of which were also done to film

Everyone cries Altering, Photoshop, editing....do yikes the education and knowledge required to get these stunning images? It's what people want for thier wedding pictures.

You say that like it's a bad thing. There's a lot of difference between altering and editing. If you just want pictures that look like you took them, why hire someone who knows what he's doing?
