Special occasions call for a special kind of photographer, and few occasions are more special than your wedding day. You do, after all, only get one of them (well, that's the idea anyway) and so the photographer needs to capture anything and everything as perfectly as possible in order to preserve your perfect day. It's a big responsibility, and as you can see, some people take that responsibility very seriously indeed! Compiled by Bored Panda, this behind-the-scenes look at the world of wedding photography reveals the hard work and dedication that goes into taking the perfect wedding picture.

Being a photographer's assistant isn't all its CRACKED up to be hehehe
Nope. Not taking my gajillion dollar camera into the surf. Unless the couple is paying for its replacement!
Some of these people must have serious money to go getting their wedding dress all wet in ponds, lakes and ocean surf.
Well am guessing the bride removed her mask briefly for the final shot once set up.
You can tell this shot was an awesome one. But I sure do wish we could see the final one.
Chairs, ledges, very little escapes the "I need height for the shot" list that we photographer will climb up.
This bouquet has its own photographers, and I can't even get a text back
This is probably a pretty shot. Notice how at least one of the bridesmaids is holding her dress tight....no peeking....lol. ; )
Bet this one turned out great too. Apparently to see any finished wedding photos I'll have to google "Wedding photos".
Never considered using incense for smoke before.... Bet it's cheaper than smoke bombs too!
Considering the other photographers' extreme poses, I would never choose to wear white as a photographer :D
I love this. I was never filthier than when I was doing photography. I love that this series shows what lengths a good photographer will go to in order to get that one sweet shot that just would not happen otherwise.
I'm a wedding photographer in Western Australia. I've smashed my shin on a barely visible bench at dawn once (and jumped over it somehow so save myself), stood on bins, fences and wobbly tables, climbed trees, walked barefoot on sharp rocks and many more... Lying on the ground is softcore ;) I'll do whatever it takes to get a great shot :)
God, I hope none of these couples get divorced, their photographers will kill them!
Or the phototographer gets two new clients when they re-marry.
