What would happen if one were to end up in hell after coming to the end of their journey? While most of us are certain that we will leave this world, it is difficult to imagine what awaits us on the other side. Hell and heaven are just two of the most widely known possibilities when it comes to the afterlife, and the artist Burly who is behind the comics "The Immortal Grind" creates his comics based on those two themes as well. And though his comics mostly revolve around hell and its creatures like the Grim Reaper, the Devil, and his small assistants, they never fail to make one smile.

If you’d like to see Burly’s previous work on Bored Panda, then we suggest clicking here to see part 1 of the ongoing series!

In a previous interview with Bored Panda (a little over a year ago), Burly told us a little bit about himself and about what he does in life, "My background is in graphic design, but with more of a focus on vector-based designs (like logos and icons). I decided to start a webcomic as a way to get more experience with digital drawing and the associated tools."

When it comes to explaining the theme of the afterlife in his comics, here's what the artist had to say to us.

"In my comic, I imagine it being not so glamorous and kind of mirroring the daily grind people go through here on Earth. Is it really like that? Let's hope not!" Perhaps that's why the author uses just a few words to explain the theme of his work to the audience, if you search up his bio, it says, "Chronicling the daily life of the afterlife."

Yeah, if you read the desciptions of the angels the phrase "Do not be afraid" make a lot more sense.

The world seems to be an increasingly scary place as we have observed thus far. What meant to be the roaring 20s turned into a global pandemic two years ago, and if we learned anything from it, it's best to say that at this point we have to be prepared for everything, even a world’s foretold destruction if it comes to that. That's why perhaps we should take a page out of Burly's book (comics) and think about what might await us in the afterlife.

After all, it can't get any worse, right? And well...if all goes down, at least we have a hell starter pack to learn from. Needless to say, let us know which comics were your favorite and why! We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments, and don't forget to support Burly's work on his Instagram page that was linked in the description.

The grim reaper doesn't actually kill you. Why do people always think this? He's the one that takes you to the appropriate afterlife. If anything, he's the good guy for walking there with you.
