Pretty Sure Our Cat Thinks The Crib We Put Together Was For Him
My wife and I are going to be parents for the first time and after putting the crib together in preparation of our little one’s arrival, we found that another member of the family started liking it.
Finn is almost a 20 pound cat so the fact that he can clear the side rail of the crib is pretty amazing in itself. I’d say maybe once a week I find him laying in there in the morning and to say he looks comfortable would be an understatement. My wife called me into the nursery a few days ago and even though we are trying to discourage the behavior I couldn’t help but snap a few pictures before taking him out.

Share on FacebookA bassinet or doll crib lower to the ground for him would go a long way. He'd be all "Not only are the humans smart but they also made it more convenient for me."
Our female cat slept with our boys. They slept when she would curl up with them and purr. She's still a mama cat now that I'm expecting again, and has taken to curling up on my big ol' belly, just like she did with the other two. She's a good kitty, and I've lots of pics with her curled up with the boys.
O.O furry bellllllllllay....wanna rub.... o.o... must rub....furry belly...
He has claimed this crib as his own, you will need to get another one for the baby :) My little Chihuahua has an old playpen as a bed, and my little kittens sleep with him in there
He needs his own crib and no access to the baby. He's too heavy for a newborn. He is gorgeous.
He does need to be familiar with the baby clothes, furniture, etc, before she comes home, to relieve the cat's anxiety. And what cuter way to accomplish that?
He just fits in there ! Cats seem to have a liking for confined spaces. See all the You-tube posts that feature cats getiing into very small boxes, bowls and even pitchers.
This is the cutest cat I have ever seen and I have a dozen inside and several outside. I think you have to get another crib for your baby!!
Congratulations to you two! Have you thought of maybe buying a second crib? I know it's a budget (maybe a lowcost one? or a second hand one?) but that would help, because this cat seems to want his own crib...
get a doll crib or wicker basket made all up for him and then put foil or tape sticky side up to discourage him getting into the crib.
LOL Cute get hima doll crib or something then put foil or tape sticky side up in the crib
I agree with Stephanie. A doll crib would make him feel special. Put it next to the baby crib--no compition.
Soooooo much room! I wonder who's gonna share it with me! I can't wait to meet them. I hope they like milk.
Be careful! Our heavyweight red cat once nearly squashed my baby brother in his crib! (Confortable AND warm ;-)
Maybe, if they are really good, she will share the crib with the baby!
Babies aren't born elergic, it's somthing you develop. And ectualy one of the best ways to make sure a child doesn't develop an eallergy is early exposure. So they're covered :-)
