In boy scouts this is definitely a thing, and at winter festivals. And in my backyard in about 15 minutes.

Yup, when the snow starts melting (end of March), we Canadians go to a sugar shack. There, you get served pea soup, super fluffy and thick omelettes, ham, beans, lots of crunchy bacon (called Christ ears), all covered in maple syrup, then for dessert, you get sugar pie and hot maple syrup poured on snow. You make a lollypop of it. Delicious!!!

I grew up in Wisconsin (USA) we had snow up to our eyeballs every winter too so we did s**t like this too. We did not find it weird at all. God gives you a ton of snow? Make your own snow cones!

I am gonna have to try this this winter.. I usually just eat the snow but maple snow sounds good.
