Movie and TV sets can produce the funniest photos. Sure, if you are a cinephile or work in the industry, they probably won't surprise you. But try looking at these images at their face value. Which is exactly what the Twitter account "Behind The Scenes Pics That Look Like Sh*tposts" wants you to do.
Sharing exactly what its name promises, the account invites you on a tour through Hollywood's biggest studios, and the fact that you visit them without context really makes them look like bad memes. Where else would you see a man chatting with a bloody Jesus Christ and a guy pleasing Spider-Man on a car?
Just like WTF stock photos, these images raise more questions than answers. And that's the beauty of them.

The person behind the project is the "crayola comedian" known online as Thunder Eagle. "I got the idea for 'Behind The Scenes Pics That Look Like Sh*tposts' from two other extremely popular accounts, @sciencesh*tpost and @lyricsh*tposts," Thunder Eagle told Bored Panda.
They typically receive around 3-5 submissions a day, at least in DMs. "The most popular submissions, as expected, are from CGI-heavy movies," Thunder Eagle explained.

Thunder Eagle thinks behind the scenes pics make such good sh*tposts because they're so goofy looking. "Whether it's a guy in a monster costume doing normal things, pre-rendered CGI, an out-of-context storyboard, or whatever else. They change how you view movies you're so familiar with," they said.
Thunder Eagle also has a Youtube channel. There, you can find deadpan comedic videos, "primarily about video games, accompanied by preschool-level drawings."

I heard that the actors in the original Planet of the Apes movies had to eat in front of mirrors so they wouldn't mess up the elaborate makeup and prosthetics. I wonder if Doug Jones had to do the same thing.

Ian McDairmid played the 80 year old Emperor in Return of the Jedi in 1983 when he was 34 years old. He was heavily made-up to achieve the look shown above in 2005, and in ROTS the Emperor would have been around 60. Then he played the same character again in 2019 and would have been 115. That's time-jumping worthy of a movie plot in the Star Trek universe.

If I remember correctly, there is a scene where David Hasselhoff swims Spongebob and Patrick out to sea over Bikini Bottom and then puts them between his pecs to launch them down? It's been a long time. I think this is the robo pec launch scene they're filming. I thought it was all video editing, I didn't think they'd have done, well, this.

With teletubbies, anyone have any plot conspiracy theories on it? The group of childlike characters inside protective suits. The only adult voices are from pre-recorded messages from a speaker. An idyllic artificial environment, premanufactured food machines. I’ve always thought of teletubbies as alien children in a Post-apocalyptic protective environment , where all alien adults have died and the only remnant of the old culture is from the videos that play on their screens and the voices from the speakers. At least that’s what the sun baby told me.

I love behind the scenes pics of the Planet of the Apes. Always looks like margarita time. The makeup was so labor intensive it couldn't be removed between takes. They had to use straws, so their meals were blended.

I think it revels in its own mystery, but a certain someone might have ordered a certain professional to deal with a certain love interest and is facing psychological and spiritual consequences from it, creates an idealized reality where the truth is more managable but the truth lurks like a ghost until it strikes.

This movie, though. If anyone asks me what depression is like, I just refer them to the first half or so of this movie and say "Imagine that's how you feel. All day. Every day. Everything looks like that. Everything feels like that. It's gray and cold and an endless set of concrete stairs." It usually gets the idea across in a much clearer way than words.
