Webcomics are some of the most entertaining content on the internet, so when I find some good ones, I'm eager to share.
Ariane is a 24-year-old artist from Paris, France, and she's the one behind the hilarious comics of ari_stocrate. The illustrator has been drawing since childhood and started comics in her teen years. "I experimented in high school, but it was really bad," she told Bored Panda. "I really got into it last year and even more in last November when I discovered digital drawing which upped my game instantly."
"I get my ideas from small Peruvians I keep in my basement who work day and night to find the best jokes… and also real life. My all-time inspiration is Garfield of course!"
And what about her medium? Does she start drawing on paper or are the comics digital from the start? "All digital baby! Way better than paper. I hate paper. My home is paper free. And also pepper free. That last statement is false. I love pepper. What was the question again?"
Lots of truly fun situations that Ariane draws about in her comics involve her cat, Jasper. "My cat Jasper comes from the planet Cathar where he was discovered to be force sensitive," jokes the artist. "But the empire declared him too powerful and put a bounty on his head, which is why he had to exile to planet Earth, he loves it here but he misses death sticks a bit."
Lately, Ari's comics have been gaining more and more traction and the artist encourages everyone who would like to create cartoons, to give them a try. "The best thing is anyone can do it, you don’t have to be Michael-Angelo to draw comic strips, the important part is the joke, not the art per se. The worst thing is some people don’t understand the minimalistic approach in comic strips for the joke to work and will criticize the art as if you were drawing a graphic novel. But trust me, drastic changes of angles and poses with too much-added details spoils the comedy timing and you end up with a weird unfunny chimera between two genres. I've seen this, I've done this, you don’t want this."

My dad. I quit eating pork and pork by-products when I was 12. Dad is still the pork police when we go out.

I really love pasta, but I'm not too patient to boil it. Anyone have suggestions?
these are great comics. very funny. but i REALLY feel they didn't need to include the artist was vegan. you put that in the title as the very first thing it makes it seem like they are vegan first artist second. or they are an artist about being vegan. WHICH CLEARLY ISN'T THE CASE! they are an artist who happens to be a vegan. lets give them the respect the deserve without using their life choice as a selling point.
I can't say as I got all these, but then again, they weren't my age demographic. STILL, they were cute!
I loved them! I can't believe people look at stuff like this then leave negative comments, it's so strange and unnecessary.
Load More Replies...So why do we care that the artist is a vegan? She's a good cartoonist, her life is none of our business. .... I guess it's true. You never have to ask if someone's a vegan, they'll tell you before you even meet them.
Not always true. My family and I (other than one of my brothers) try only mention being vegan when it comes up or someone asks why we are not eating something. But I did just mention me being vegan so I might have also proved myself wrong... Anyway, just please don't judge ALL vegans because some are annoying.
