Have you ever wondered what would happen if foods were brought to life and could talk? In this artist's parallel comic world, fruit and vegetables have gone 'bad' and a little twisted. The punny series called "Fruit Gone Bad" by NY Cartoonist features fruits and veggies as main characters, but you will also find bread, nuts, pizza, other foods, and even inanimate objects going about their daily lives and being caught up in relationships and social interactions.
Some of the comics will make you laugh or make you feel uncomfortable because of how inappropriate they are, and some might ruin your favorite foods for you. However, 82k Instagram followers are all in for it—from a pumpkin returning home 'smashed' again or a peach getting waxed, to the intimate bedroom affairs of potatoes and cheating bread. Is it your kind of humor? Let us know what you think!

The artist behind "Fruit Gone Bad" offers an interesting alternative universe for fruits and veggies we are used to knowing as "good" for us. Starting from our parents to teachers, doctors, and nutrition experts, we hear how beneficial these foods are to our health, but in the creative and slightly twisted imagination of NY Cartoonist, fruits and vegetables are completely different from what we thought they were. Or perhaps they were fed up with being good all the time and went full rebel mode? The artist describes the characters as "food with a tude" for a reason and the secret life of good foods is not that good after all.
I do love pickle juice myself.. made my ex get it for me all the time when I was pregnant
In fact, it's fair to say that the edible characters and inanimate objects from "Fruit Gone Bad" are inspired by what is happening in the real world and resemble people in lots of ways. It seems that these fruits and veggies have learned a lot from people while chilling in the fridge and have adapted their behavioral patterns, from dating, relationship problems, work, and partying to parenting and intimate life. The art style is colorful and cute; however, these innocent-looking foods seem to have particularly dirty minds.
"Fruit Gone Bad" comics' trademark is inappropriate dark humor. Usually, single-paneled comics are so packed with clever puns and brilliant dad jokes you will probably want to call your dad after. This post should probably have a disclaimer that only people with a twisted sense of humor will be able to vibe with the illustrations the artist puts out and truly appreciate it. The artist really tests the limits of what is an appropriate joke, so brace yourselves, as there aren't any filters—this artist will imagine fruits and veggies in various situations that might make you smile or raise your eyebrows depending on your sense of humor.

dont blame him, you were the one "stalking" him while trying to take a leak!
Aw, poor Tom (#15), technically they should be questioning more than just him. Jim the bean isn't a vegetable, he's a pulse/legume. Oscar the cucumber is also technically a fruit. Alex the carrot is a true vegetable. Joe the onion and Bob the radish are roots, with Joe being a bulb and Bob being a fusiform taproot, both root vegetables. Gordon, well, nobody really knows what Gordon is, so they just keep their mouths shut.
I am forever traumatized by the PSL one. Might hafta change my name..........
