Turns out, people are not the only ones who can be a little inappropriate at times. The artist behind an Instagram account called Fruit Gone Bad takes a look at the secret life of fruit, vegetables, and other - mostly edible - items in entertaining illustrations and the results are surprising, to say the least. These funny characters aren’t afraid to be a little raunchy, and over 80K Instagram followers seem to enjoy their conversations quite a bit.
This isn’t the first time this artist’s illustrations have been featured on Bored Panda - check out our previous post. As for the newest additions - scroll down and see for yourself!

The Fruit Gone Bad illustrations are known for their dark humor - looking at the cute fruit or veggie characters you would never think such inappropriate thoughts are on their mind. The artist masterfully makes these comics feel relatable as most of us can probably recognize our own conversations in them. Food items are really just like us, huh?
These hilarious comics reminded us of Sausage Party - a 2016 computer-animated comedy film directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan. The film also features talking foods and “follows an anthropomorphic sausage who lives in a supermarket and discovers the truth about what happens when groceries are purchased. He goes on a journey with his friends to escape their fate while also facing a psychopathic douche who wants to kill him.”
What’s interesting is that there really isn’t much info about who the artist behind Fruit Gone Bad is. Apparently, the talented illustrator just lets the work speak for itself - and it’s working. Each illustration gets over 3K likes on Instagram with many people engaging in the comments section about the hilarious thoughts of the comic characters.
